1PERSON CENTERED CARE
Person centered care is considered as an efficient strategy to keep the patients safe and in
the pink of their health. It not only means providing the people with their necessary requisite
commodities or information but to be caring and think about them from a different perspective. It
might be possible by mutual sharing of decisions so that the patients can be helped with
managing their health. The intention is to show respect to the patient’s family members by
involving them in the decision making process and work along with the health professionals to
get the desired result (Fick et al., 2014).
The nurses provide constant support to the person so that they express their fear and
concern freely and help them keep faith on them to evoke self- caring behavior. The different
aspects of person centered care include respect the value of other people, being passionate and
integrate care so that they are comfortable and safe amidst the service. It is of utmost importance
to present the patients with respectful and responsive care. At this point it is beneficial to work in
harmony for enabling sound communication among people (kogan, Wilber & Mosqueda, 2016).
The main aim of being person centered is to keep safety, comfort and well- being of the
people as topmost priority. There are a lot of ways by which people’s safety can be enabled but
in order to achieve that success people must start putting their trust on the service people and call
them. There should be complete awareness among the caregiver about the discomfort of the
people. The people should not be caused any kind of physical or mental harm or injury.
Therefore by being person centered one must be able to develop norms for the involvement of
patients and their families in the service (Edvardsson, Sandman & Borell, 2014).
