TITLE
To analyse the strategies students, use in order to establish work life balance in their lives.
INTRODUCTION
Work life balance is an important concept that is related with the establishment of
balance between the work life and personal life (Poulose and Sudarsan, 2018). This balance is
highly important in order to keep an individual charge and active. This topic is highly relevant to
study because of the persistence of sedentary lifestyle and raising of mental stress.
This essay will discuss the aim i.e. To analyse the strategies students, use in order to
achieve a balance in their life. This will be a qualitative research followed with discussions and
conclusion.
RESULTS
Theme 1: Adoption of the habit of regular exercise
As per the data of survey it can be interpreted that the majority of participants adopt the
habit of regular exercise that would assist them in maintaining the work life balance. As
participants quoted that ‘performance of exercises including gym, walking and another thing.’
This shows that majority of students adopt the habit of regular exercises that would guide them
in the maintenance of balance in their life. It would guide them in the generation of new energy
and activeness.
Theme 2: Strategy of stress management
As per the opinions and reviews of the students most of the students said that they adopt
the practice of stress management in terms of meditation, exposure with nature and peace. This
would lead them to get energise and active with respect to the working and other aspect. As
quoted by student ‘Getting enough sleep, reading, journaling & meditating regularly would lead
to assist in maintaining a balance in life.’ This shows that meditation and stress management
activities including the nature exposure, spending alone time and other activities would lead to
make the student energise that would lead them to maintain a balance in their work life.
Theme 3: Inculcating recreational activities in daily life
As the degree of stress and mental pressure is usually high in the student life which
would be reduced with the aspect of indulgence of recreational activities including playing

games, spending time with pets, hanging out with friends and various other. From the given raw
data of the students the indulgence of recreational activities in their daily life is also a major
aspect that would lead to make stress free and maintain a balance in their life. As students also
quoted that ‘Going for a walk, reading a book, going out to dinner or activities with family or
friends, watching a funny or feel-good tv or movie, and going to the beach’ would lead them to
get energise that would assist them to maintain a balance in the life.
DISCUSSION
As per the above theme it would be right to discuss that there are majority of aspects and
activities or strategies every student would adopt in order to establish a balance in its life. This
would either include the indulgent in recreational activities or adopting the practice of regular
exercise that would lead the students in making stress free and get energise that would further
assist them in maintaining a balance in their life.
The chosen method of qualitative study proves to be useful because it involves the in-depth
analysis and view of the students regarding the research question (Duggleby, and et.al. 2020). In
the same way with this method the theoretical aspect regarding the research is possible (Allan,
2020). However, with the deprivation of lack of figures an assumed and overall answer regarding
the research question is grabbed instead of the exact and prompt answer.
