INTRODUCTION
Personal learning and development plan helps an individual in its overall development through
creating an action plan on the basis of the values, awareness, goal-setting, reflection along with
planning in context of education, career, self-improvement or relationship. This report is based
on a case study of poor stress management and in order to demonstrate this concept, different
aspects will be cover in this assignment (GutiƩrrez-Braojos and et.al., 2018). A personal
development plan is also going to be discussed within this project and along with it there will be
a description on the effective means of managing the stress, feeling nervous, etc.
MAIN BODY
Stress is said to be a feeling of the physical or emotional tension that can be occur from any
thought or any event that makes an individual feel frustrated, nervous or angry. It is the reaction
of a body to a demand or a challenge. Stress management is considered as a kind of technique or
a program which is tended to assist a learner or a student in order to deal with the stress in an
effective manner within life. It can be done through considering favourable actions as well as
analysing the particular stressors for reducing their influence.
Poor stress management can impact the learning, health and wellness of the students of
university. In order to manage the stress, there is requirement of developing various kinds of
skills such as time management skills, problem-solving skills, decision-making skills and many
more. The development of these skills will help the students of university in managing the level
of their stress within their life. Time management skills can be developed through preparation of
timetable as it would help in managing all the daily-routine activities like study time, family
time, entertainment time and many more within a specific period of time. Problem-solving skills
can be developed through solving the problems that occur in daily life of a student of university
(Massarani and et.al., 2019). Decision-making skills of the students of university can be evolved
through taking actively participation in the group discussions within their university. There are
also many others ways through the stress of the university students can get managed. Effective
means of managing stress are mentioned below:
ļ‚· The students of university should drink as well as eat in order to optimise their health.

ļ‚· They can take the exercises in a regular way that will help them in making their body and
internal strengths fit.
ļ‚· They should make a timetable and get stick to it that will help them in managing their
daily activities in an effective manner.
In order to reduce the level of anxiety and nervousness, students of university should follow
these things:
ļ‚· They are required to take participation in the activities that are occurred within the
university as it would help in making them active and all-rounder as well as reduce their
anxiety and nervousness (Recke and Perna, 2020).
ļ‚· They should talk to their friends, family members, relatives and other people that make
them feel happy and joyful as it would assist the students of university in minimising the
anxiety.
ļ‚· The students of university should take proper sleep of atleast 7 hours in a day that will
make them refresh within the whole day.
Personal Development Plan
The personal development plans are those plans that are use in order to make an analysis of
all the perspectives of a person. This plan includes making an evaluation of the skills as well as
the abilities and recognising the strengths and weak points of an individual along with taking
actions for improving them. Below is a personal development plan that describes the actions and
resources that are required to get certain skills:

From above explanation of the report, it has been concluded that personal learning and

may feel need working on. Within this report, the personal learning and development plan has
traced the strengths as well as weaknesses of an individual along with requirements to change or
learn for achieving the goals. The concept of stress management has also been explained in this
report along with the effective means of managing the stress, nervousness or anxiety. In order to
improve and evolve the skills for personal development, a personal development plan has been
created within the report.
