INTRODUCTION
Educational artefacts are learning objects that are created by learners during course of
instruction. At same time, personal learning and development plan is kind of self-reflection
addition to self-evaluation which is used in establishments providing higher education and
workings.
The assessment is prepared on case study topic that is “Poor stress management can affect
learning, wellbeing addition to health of a student. It discusses effective means for management
of feeling anxious, stress or nervous”.

of effective means of managing stress, nervous or feeling anxious for students of
University
Stress is termed to a feeling of physical or emotional tension that has possibilities to come
from any kind of event or thought that makes an individual frustrated, nervous or angry.
Likewise, stress management is delineated to wide spectrum of psychotherapies as well as
techniques which are aimed at controlling level of stress of a person, particularly, chronic stress,
in order to improve day to day functioning. It involved varied number of strategies, techniques
together with tools which reduces level of stress as well as negative impacts of stress on mental
addition to physical wellbeing (Xiangming, Liu and Zhang, 2020). Most students of University
experiences significant level of stress that take toll on happiness, grades together with health.
When a student is exposed to stimuli or stressor which provoke stress, there are chances that they
experience an array of physical, cognitive, behavioural addition to emotional reactions. Physical
symptoms of stress that are experienced by a student at University includes muscle tension,
vertigo, sweating, fatigue, headaches and stomachaches, increased heart rate, etc. Common
causes of stress among students of University are extra curriculum practices, relationships, work,
social challenges, transitions addition to homework.

Students of University face fierce competitiveness of taking complex and challenging
courses, studying and acing placement tests, amassing impressive extra curriculums as well as
making life changing decisions for future. Similarly, students studying at University are required
to navigate social challenges inherent for higher experiences. University students’ experiences
stress that are concerned to changes in lifestyle, new responsibilities, interpersonal relationship,
increased workload that hinders work effectiveness resulting to poor academic performance,
learning and wellbeing of a learner.
In accordance to Smith (2021), stress is normal addition to helpful in day to day life of
student (Smith, 2021). The adrenaline which comes as element of stress response are many a
time motivating together with help students to perform in better ways. The complexity arises at
the time when stress tips over distress. It has been analysed that when stress results in negative
impact on daily life of a learner, when it stops them to achieve and communicate, it impacts
directly on their learning, wellbeing addition to health. Various effective means for students to
manage stress, nervous and feel anxious are as discussed:
Exercising: One of the means for a student to manage stress and nervous for university
student is exercising. It is because exercising releases endorphins that makes a person feel happy
and good. With proper exercising, university students might feel great sense of accomplishment
and develop positivity for good mental health, comprising spending time with others or outdoors.
Exercising is great means to treat depressive symptoms and feeling of anxious, rather than taking
antidepressants or therapies (Hu, Chen and Wang, 2021). Exercising enhances overall health
addition to sense of wellbeing, that puts more pep at step of every day. For a student, physical
activities have potential to lower overall level of stress together with improve quality of life
mentally and physically. It has positive effects on mood of an individual through relieving
anxiety to mild depression to tension.
Talking to someone: For a student, isolation can have negative impacts on happiness,
learning and health of a student. With acceptance that an individual requires assistance as well as
talking to others is key step for feeling much better. For a student of University, speaking to
others, including friends and family who know them best addition to care about them most. It has
been analysed that socialising with others is great means for reducing stress level, improve mood
and wellbeing. For example, when a student pursuing in University, visit a friend along with tell
them about issues that they are facing, good things happening in their life together with asking

them for assistance for gaining certain perspectives helps to gain insights to live life happily
contributing to management of stress and feeling of anxious.
Getting enough sleep: Life schedule of a university student is busy because of which
they do not get proper sleep. Maintaining effective routine of sleep is key measure for mental
health, wellbeing as well as managing stress. When a student takes time for relaxing prior going
to sleep can assist them in quality of sleep. Following regular routine of sleep generally calms
together with restores body that improves concentration, sharpens adjustments and regulates
mood that acts are essential measure for coping with stress, feeling nervous and anxious for
students of university.
Time management: Students of University often get stressed at the time when they feel
that they are running out of time for the purpose of completing a task which can be study, work
or stem from feeling overwhelmed with social practices (Baik, Larcombe and Brooker, 2019).
Nonetheless, techniques of simple time management can help students to develop feeling of
relaxed together with focused. It is essential for a student to make attempts for written schedule,
breaking tasks down into management chunks, making plans accordingly addition to allocating
time to self each day for relaxation or socialise. With proper time management, a student of
university divides their work in urgent and non-urgent practices that is a measure to manage
stressful circumstances and feeling of nervous.
CONCLUSION
From the information presented in the assessment, it has been concluded that managing poor
stress is essential for good health and well-being of an individual. Poor stress management
impacts adversely on learning, feeling anxious and performing daily activities. Exercising,
talking to someone, getting enough sleep and time management are some of effective means that
a student of University can manage stress and feeling nervous.
