Rehabilitation centre is related to the concept which are basically used and make for the
concept of addressing different clients who are facing lots of issues due to stroke diseases. This
report include the basic information which are relevant for needed to explain and established a
model which are relevant for opening a new clinic. This is very important to for opening up a
new clinic which are based on the management of stroke and rehabilitation centre. The overall
aim of this project is to make sure about opening up a new clinic in Dhaka, Bangladesh. While
open a new clinic some circumstances are measures as per the need of complete and overall
information about the planning and preparation of clinic report. This research is based on the
concept of managing rehabilitation criteria of the concept which are related to many patients who
are suffering from the stroke diseases. This project include the aim, objective, overview of the
clinic which are essential details. As these details are needed to improve by the higher authorities
in order to promote short term, medium term and long term objectives. All of these objective and
their possible outcome are described on the basis of clinic daily operations and activities. Further
SWOT is conducted and a deep evaluation is considered for accepting the knowledge. Further
the use of change management, leadership and teamwork is related to some other essential
details. All of these details are related to major information in order to determine the concept of
manage rehabilitation centre.

To establish a new specialised clinic in Dhaka, Bangladesh in order to improve the
quality of life of the patients after stroke and also to reduce the post stroke mortality
rate in Bangladesh.

Background: (298 Words)
Stroke rehabilitation centres offers various program to give patient the strength and
abilities or skills that is necessary in their transformational that is why stroke rehabilitation
is one of the most important form of recovery for many patient or for many stroke
survivors. Stroke rehabilitation programs offers many intensive physical and mentally
therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy to provide their patients the strength and
ability or sense of knowledge as in respect of the highest section of the operations (Adeoye
and et.al., 2019).
It is a place to heal the soul of the patient in a positive surroundings by providing
customized treatments of procedural to help their patient to put their efficiency of function
with effectively. Stroke rehabilitation centres provides adequate grooming activities to
amended, adaptability and coordination to develop their sense of knowledge. Physical
therapy and mental therapy are the fluent way for patient to reduce the irregularity and
hence it may happen by improving their personal activities on regular basis or daily basis.
At globally, over 14 million people suffer a stroke every year, it is the second largest
leading reason of death and for the age group of 45 to 60 years. Stroke physical therapy is
the sectional term for them to set the objective to help their patient as to cure them with the
effect of the stroke as which it damages the brain that can be more significant that helps
the stroke survivor to achieve their task to set it possibly and have long term result.
Rehabilitation centres staff faculty like doctors and nurses or therapists help the patient to
perform the progressively as in a more suitable way (Cohen and et.al., 2016). They also
help them in managing such task like toilet, bathing, dressing and many more the list will
continue.
Rationale: (280 Words)
The project topic chosen for this research is establishment of new specialised clinic for
stroke rehabilitation. The main objective of stroke rehabilitation clinic is to help
individuals to learn skills which they have lost at the time of stroke. The new clinic will
provide stroke rehabilitation to people of Dhaka and help them in regaining independence
as well as improving quality of life. This topic is chosen for completing the research
because Dhaka is a developing country and there are several opportunities for new stroke

clinic in this area. Various professionals in stroke and panic specification are hired for
providing effective service to people of Dhaka.
Current health condition of Dhaka – The present health system is not able to provide
efficient services. There is need of having good health system in order to enhance health
status of population. Although facilities for acute stroke care have been developing in
Bangladesh, rehabilitation services are lagging far behind primary care services. CRP is
one of the few centres available for stroke rehabilitation. It should be noted that the
demographical information regarding CRP patients is limited (Profile of stroke patients
treated at a rehabilitation centre in Bangladesh, 2021). This helps to provide safeguard
against health associated financial threat. The pluralistic governance is present in Dhaka
health system. This means that stakeholders with respective roles and responsibilities are
working in various collaborative as well as competitive combinations. It is analysed that
almost two third of the health expenditure is contributed by formal and informal sectors in
Bangladesh. The stroke patients within Bangladesh are facing big issues while getting
good service. There is need for Dhaka citizens to have good and strong services of stroke
rehabilitation.
Drivers: (512 Words)
Stroke is the leading cause of death and disability in Bangladesh. Rehabilitation services
have not yet been integrated into the Bangladesh health system (Profile of stroke patients,
2017). Only a few non-governmental organisations provide rehabilitation for stroke
patients. In context of Bangladesh, there is need to have more improvised services for
stroke patients.
Stroke is an extra financial cost for a family; the participants in this study reported that
their average monthly expenditure was Bangladesh 328 for rehabilitation services alone.
Only 10% of patients received any sort of financial aid, usually from their employers, with
the remainder paying independently.
What are the anticipated benefits of this project?
The drivers for building stroke rehabilitation is that this clinic will provide good service to
people. Strokes change the way in which people are going to live their life in future. That

is why it is very important to provide those proper facilities and service that will help them
to manage the daily work life activities. The new clinic will provide stroke speciality
program at Dhaka. This will be a unique and patient focused recovery program. There are
different reasons for a person to have strokes, this includes blood clot or bleeding in the
brain. This can affect independence of an individual because of changes in
communication, mobility, memory, vision and coordination. In this clinic, dedicated
treatments are provided to people. This includes rehabilitation doctors, certified
rehabilitation nurses and specialised therapists. The new clinic will have skilled doctors
who can manage different cases of stroke. The new clinic will provide special service for
patients (English, Hillier and Lynch, 2017). There are different functional levels which
receives comprehensive interdisciplinary care which targets personalised patients and
family goals. There are different family oriented programs organised in this clinic which
will develop and execute individual treatment plan for addressing behavioural, cognitive,
social interaction while working for attaining realistic vocational, educational and leisure
goals. There will also be patient treatment team provided to stroke patients. This clinic will
provide you physical medicine and rehabilitation physician, certified rehabilitation nurse,
physical, occupational and speech language pathologists. Proper diet will be planned for
all patients. This will help to manage the process of making people confident after stroke.
Support for caregivers and patients – There is a neuron support group for caregivers and
patients who have faced stroke or brain injury. All services will be provided 24X7.
Vulnerable individuals will be provided free service and support system by this clinic.
Nutrition class – There will be a nutrition class provided as a service in which registered
dietician provides help. Nutritional education is provided to individuals for managing the
individual’s level of all nutrition within body. In this class, people will be provided with
diet chart according to need of their body (Hebert and et.al., 2016).
Impatient rehabilitation referral information – Stroke referrals are provided acceptance
based upon specific needs and requirements. This rehabilitation centre will provide a 24X7
guide to all individuals. An online service will also be provided in which suggestions and
therapies are provided through online calls. There is need to provide effective care to

people by using this rehabilitation centre.

Intended Project Objectives: (406 Words)
For completing this project some of the major objectives are chosen in terms to established
new healthcare industry and make some distinctive approach. One of the main significant
objective to establish that healthcare industry is to provide a long term support and
reference to situation after discharging patients. The main objective of the hospital is to
have some goal which are oriented towards patients. Second main objective of the clinic is
to provide some multi-professional training or services at the level of need and disability
of patients. For this the owner have to recruit some staff which are able to work as
neurologist, general physician, family medical doctor, and many more type of services can
be provided to serve patients who are suffering from stroke rehabilitation. These objectives
are helpful for me in order to complete my clinic aim. Furthermore it is helpful in
maintaining the growth and success in clinic by providing relevant services and training
programmes which are related to the stroke patients and helpful for them to make fast
recovery (Langhorne, Baylan and Trialists, 2017). While making objectives either small,
medium or long term objective it is necessary to work on objective first and then
implement on the daily operations. It help the employees to stay motivated with the clinic
operations and try to achieve the targets which are assigned by clinic administrative team.
Short term (3 to 4 weeks)
To improve the local sponsor will also be able to get them the patients that are in need of
the rehab as in this centre. For the growth of clinic and patients with increasing nature of

future. The goal for making successful clinic, is attainable in order to make
