2. a. Project Description
Globex Corp has been awarded a project that requires the development of a stud farm web-
based system. Globex has in-turn outsourced this work to Virtucon which is a trusted and
closely related developer of Globex so as to make OSFMS an actual reality. The main aim
under this project is automation of several manual processes which happens in a typical stud
farm. The company behind the current OSFMS manages a lot of process manually such as
bookings which causes error prone processing, slower processing time and database errors.
This newly proposed system would eventually surpass the existing system in usability
thereafter increasing its speed and reliability and also reducing its error rate.
b. Project Objectives
Developing of a functional and usable stud management system.
Meeting all the required non-functional and functional needs of the system.
Meeting up of the required quality and coding standards
Meeting of all the required legal and ethical requirements for the system.
Project activities and tasks execution that will be based on the schedule and budget
mentioned in the given document (Openlearn, 2016)

B Web Designer Preparation of the high and low-level mock-ups
for the website as well as the flow-diagram
depicting the flow of information. Afterwards, the
designer would also be required to translate his or
her designs into coded web-pages which the
developers can then implement.

Scribe Risk management should include its
assessment, then evaluation, then
treatment and planning of risks as
well as essential control. Operational
as well as technical risks also needs
to be managed through a well-
defined risk response strategy (Dds,
2016).
Meeting outcome:
It has already been pre-decided that certain operational risks needs to be decreased while
making use of practice and training provided to all of the members who are part of the
given team. While on the flip side, all of the mentioned technical risks would be mitigated
using specialized methods such as, disaster recovery, error prevention techniques and
recovery tools.

Part Four
Prior to the beginning of the project, I understood the leadership role for the success of the
project. However, the project further provided insights into the responsibilities of an effective
leader to achieve the required results. I also learnt that that leader does not necessarily have to
guide all of the core resources on all of their processes and activities that needs to be
followed along with that I also need to consider the best practices for the project. This project
should set forth an example for future projects.
Also, ICT is quite a bit of difficult field based on the terms of managerial skills required for
he PM who is currently involved with an ICT based project and thereby must possess a

variety of skills. I learnt that Such skills include the ability to communicate effectively, one
must also possess problem solving skills, effective scheduling and resource handling skills,
decision making and managerial skills (Westland, 2016). Apart from this, I learnt that the
manager should also have a greater understanding of risks as any kind of risks may enter the
project and that the project should not freeze or fail ultimately because of such risks (Mmu,
2016).
All critical responsibilities and roles have been properly defined by me and I also mapped all
essential skills so as to avoid any confusion. The team working towards the project must also
act as a single cohesive unit for effective management and communication. The team must
also be ready to take responsibility and act accountable whenever there is any risk or failure
under them. Also, in the project, I did the resource allocation effectively and there are all the
essential resources in order to deliver the project.
I managed all the interactions among all of the participants effectively using good and tested
communication methods and guidelines. Also, I learnt that the needs and perspective of an
individual participant must also be considered in overall process. The organization should
also provide regular interaction with a team combined together with friendly benefits and
employee assessment. There should also be a combined effort between team members in
order to improvise upon project activities and also the processes. I observed that certain
mechanisms need to be put in place to make sure that continuous improvement of activities
and process are being carried out.
