Respected Sir/Madam
As a student with more than three years of experience in on-campus activities and
social work, I would like to apply for the position of Red Shirt Student Ambassador. I believe
the role is one that is well suited for my abilities. I have been actively engaged in a wide
range of philanthropic activities on the ATMC campus. I collaborated with other student
leaders to organize a blood donation camp in the previous semester and was also intimately
involved in an HIV awareness campaign that took place on the ATMC grounds last spring. I
feel passionately about numerous social causes and I consider the task of being a Red Shirt
holder an honourable one.
While fulfilling my duties as a social activist and campaigner on campus I have
always tried to be as authentic as possible in my interactions with others. I have made a

concerted effort to stay true to myself and to the values that I believe in and try to uphold in
my everyday life. I am an open-minded person and I am quite proficient at delegating tasks to
my peers, in order to get a particular job or activity completed within a stipulated timeframe.
I believe my authenticity, open mindedness and my ability to easily delegate tasks and get
things accomplished by peers are three attributes that make me ideal for the post of a Red
Shirt Ambassador. I can assist with getting Red Shirt goals achieved by maintaining
consistent communication with the student leadership on the ATMC campus, especially to
ensure that messages are being spread to the student community about keeping the campus
clean and tidy at all times and to avoid littering at all costs even if this is done in an absent-
minded way. I can also get a lot of work done as a Red Shirt Ambassador by meeting up with
students after class and networking with them regarding the promotion of various Red Shirt
events, both online as well as offline. I am also more than capable of functioning well within
a team as well as on my own and can take the initiative if needed to get Red Shirt tasks and
goals accomplished in a timely manner.
As a firm believer in the rights and liberties of homo-sexual and transgender people,
the Campus Pride campaign is one that I will strive to promote and implement to the best of
my abilities. For this purpose, I shall work with my Red Shirt colleagues to make sure that
the achievements of queer people and transgender people are duly acknowledged. I will fight
for better access for the transgender people to higher educational opportunities by conducting
social media campaigns and shall also do everything else that I can to uplift and ultimately
empower those belonging to the LGBTQ community on the ATMC campus. Since anti
racism is an important component of the Campus Pride campaign, I will direct my efforts to
educating others about the importance and the urgent need for minority institutions like Asian
American colleges, black colleges, colleges that have a majority Hispanic population and
even tribal colleges. I will also ensure that coloured people are well represented on the

ATMC campus by encouraging their recruitment in paid as well as voluntary administrative
duties and activities.
In order to balance my work as a Red Shirt Ambassador and my academic
responsibilities successfully, I will take advantage of technology and try to carry out most of
my communication online via social media platforms. I will also use my free time on campus
to engage with students and make them conscious of causes that the Red Shirt team is
concerned about instead of wasting my class hours on promotional activities. I understand
that I need to devote at least twenty hours in a week to carry out my duties as a Red Shirt
Ambassador and I will strive to manage time as best as I can to execute both my role as a
serious student and a committed student leader in a flawless way.
Please review my attached curriculum vitae for additional details concerning my
skills, expertise and academic achievements. I will follow up in order to schedule an
appointment with you so as to better discuss how my experience in co-curricular activities on
campus and social work can turn out to be of great use when holding the position of a Red
Shirt Student Ambassador.
Thank you for your time and for your consideration
Yours Sincerely,
