The study is focused on analyzing a survey concerning attendance conducted among
many students in a class. The survey is focused towards understanding the essential factors that
affect class attendance among the students. The views of the students regarding the same has
been gathered. The report subsequently analyzes the data that have been gathered from the
survey. The survey has been done among 63 student respondents with the help of specific
attendance related questions set on a questionnaire.
Survey analysis details
The survey pointed out that in general most students have favorable views on attendance.
It was found that 62% of the students surveyed responded that they attend 81 to 100% of their
classes. Another 26% responded that they attend 61 to 80% of their classes. Hence, most students
were found to attend at least 61% of their classes. 46% and 41% of the students surveyed said
that they attend all of their classes and most of their classes respectively. It was found that most
students believe in the fact that attendance causes their grades to improve. 43% of the students
said that attendance was a very important factor that improves their grades. 65% of the
respondents said that attendance contributes greatly to the learning that is generated through a
given course. Students were found to disagree majorly on the notion that they do not attend class
as they don’t feel like studying. However, students did agree that the knowledge of the professor,
the relevance of the course to the aspired career and the course materials were major reasons that
affected attendance, whether lower or higher. 22% strongly agreeing on course materials, 33%
strongly agreeing on professors and 25% strongly agreeing on career relevance. The survey in all
