Blogs are basically informational or discussion websites which are published on the
World Wide Web (Virik, Simko and Bielikova 2017). Writing a blog is different from the
way we are used to writing a piece of information or news or any topic. I feel that writing a
blog is not an easy job as everyone assumes it to be and there is a lot of hard work that is put
into writing a blog. However, I was successful in coming up with a blog post.
Revisiting the work I had done, I can see that I have gained immense knowledge on
how to write an attractive blog and what are the things I need to do to make at appealing to
the readers. Initially, when I started writing a blog, I was writing on news which I had very
less information about however with time, the time put on research grew. The first thing I did
was choosing the topic and then do proper research on the topic or the piece of news from
credible sources and authentic websites. I then started thinking of a good and catchy headline
that would attract readers to read the blog. Piotrkowicz, Dimitrova and Markert (2017) state
attractive headlines are important to appeal the readers and to encourage them to read the
blog. Then I would continue with writing the blog however this changed in the end of the
trimester as I started thinking about the readers before writing the blog, I would then create a
proper outline before writing the blog.
Creating a blog content needs a lot of effort. While developing content I have learnt
that researching about the topic and creating a value to the writing is highly essential to be
different from other blogs, explaining news, concepts, including pictures and the lay out helps
in reaching to a wider range of audience. Blogs in recent times is in huge demand because of
its presentation and its accessibility. This has not only helped independent writers but will
also help media relations practitioners to attract their audience and spreading news in a more
faster manner to a wide range of readers.

Blogging has a positive side which is that it gives the writer the freedom to write in
their own way and adding their own charm to their writing. It usually does not have a word
limit but keeping it short and crisp is what I have learnt and is also positive however the
challenge that I faced while blogging is to figure out what the readers like and how would
they prefer a news to be delivered to them.
I have written a blog before and given an opportunity to work on a similar task I
would like to make some changes in the process so that I can come up with an excellent and
compelling blog. I would like to brainstorm to come up with a unique and attractive title, I
would use templates to make the layout of my blog attractive and would like to improve my
writing so that I can deliver news in a more efficient manner.
Blogs have become important in the age of internet where many people and
organisations have ben resorting to posting blogs to reach out to a wide range of people
within a short period of time and thus creating creative and informative blogs will help in
delivering news and making people aware of important news.
