Student E-Portfolio: Skills, Learning, and Career Development

This E-portfolio assignment is a reflective analysis of a student's skill development, highlighting key areas such as academic writing, presentation skills, research methodologies, and critical thinking. The student identifies ten core skills, including academic writing, presentation abilities, reading comprehension, and research capabilities, as crucial for their professional growth and future career prospects. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
In the present competitive environment, skills and capabilities are required by an individual
person so that they can attain a positive place at the marketplace. E- Portfolio is basically a way
that help a student to showcase or illustrate what they learned and gained ta the time of their
studies. In addition to this, E-p portfolio mainly describe the present skills of an individual and
also include their strength that has influence on their growth and development. With the
assistance of this, a person can easily grab ample number of opportunities at the competitive
marketplace in near future and can enhance their professionals skills in a positive manner. It is
important for students to develop their E-portfolio as it allow them to gain knowledge about their
skills and how they use their strength in order to gain an opportunity. In addition to this, it allow
an individual to find out their interest level and set a career path accordingly that help in
grabbing opportunity in the future. An E – portfolio also work as an influencer or motivator
which help students in order to keep the whole record of their work and can easily review their
work for improve their learnings and knowledge. Therefore, it can be said that E – portfolio
assist in enhancing the skills as well as knowledge of an individual person in an effective
manner. My E-portfolio include ten skills , which has the high influence on my growth as well as

Academic writing skills:
We are living in a world, where everything is sent by people by Emails, messages and
chat box. Therefore, it is important for me to have good academic writing skills that will help me
in my future to communicate with professional people in a proper manner. in addition to this, I
have developed this skill and working on it so that I can gain better results and gain a good
opportunity in the coming future.
Good presentation skills:
It is important for an individual to have good presentation skills as it allow in sharing our
ideas and thoughts to other people in an effective manner. It is analyze by me that I have good
presentation skills as I confidently give presentation to my teachers and in front of students on
the particular topic. I learnt that communication is not about sharing thoughts or giving the
speech but it also include body language, voice tone, posture and many more. During my studies,
I developed good presentation skills and now I feel confidence and normal while giving
presentation to others. In addition to this, having an effective presentation skills will help me in
future in order to convey people and make them understand about my thoughts and ideas as well.
Referencing and plagiarism:
It is analyze by me that writing something is easy but writing in its own is a difficult
task. Plagiarism plays an important role in the study and career of an individual as doing things
at own is different as compare to being copy something. At the time of my college, it is
important to make reports without plagiarism in order to get god marks and to develop a positive
image in front of teachers. Moreover, an appropriate referencing is also important in order to
proof that what we have done is right and correct that leads to attainment of positive results.
Improving reading:
It is determined by me that I have lack of reading skills so it is important for me to
improve my reading skills. For this, I started working and reading books that will help me in
developing reading skills. In addition to this, it will help me to gain an in-depth knowledge and
accurate information on the particular topic. Moreover, it also help me in future to read business
reports, articles that directly leads to growth as well as development.

Basic research skills:
This skill is considered as one of the main skill that assist in gaining positive outcome
and draw a reliable conclusion of the studies. During my studies, I have done many research
projects that aid me in developing research skills. It is important to have effective research skills
as nowadays for gaining any information, research is required. This skill will help me in my
future to easily gain knowledge on any particular topic and showcase it in an effective manner.
Presentation structure:
It is one of the most essential skills which is required to gain higher scores. For every
report it is necessary to be conducted in a well mannered structure so that the outcome will be
clearly identified. For instance, while preparing a presentation it is essential for me to have
effective skill related to the structure of the presentation This will help me learning all the things
in a systematic manner which leads towards the development of my capabilities and knowledge.
Presentation skill:
It is very essential to have good presentation skills as it assist in getting success in near
future in both professional and personal life. It has been concluded that presentation skills
includes communication as well as physical presence. It has also been observed by me that my
presentation skill is quite effective as I have attended various sort of seminars and conferences
which enhance my learning related to presentation skills. While giving a presentation tone of the
voice along with physical appearance is necessary which helps me in getting success.
Critical thinking:
It is one of the essential academic skills which assist me in getting ample number of
opportunities at the competitive environment. As a student, I have developed this skill with the
help of my teachers and mentors who always motivate me to do better in every field. By
critically thinking about a topic help me in identifying their positive and negative aspects which
assist me in taking decision which is best and most suitable for the future.
Paraphrasing practice:
It refers to the skill which is learnt by me from the initial stage if my studies. It is
considered as one of the most important factor which is required to be considered by every
individual while preparing any sort of presentation. At First my paraphrasing skill is not so
effective but with the help of continuous learning my this skill get improved. Along with this, it

has been concluded that thus skill help in getting high score in my college days and will also
assist me in near future in my professional life.
Avoiding Plagiarism:
When I was a student in university, this is the first skill which is enhanced by my
teachers as it is very necessary to avoid plagiarism while doing any academic research. It is
necessary to use own words and thoughts while giving presentation. This skills at the time of my
collage days are not so effective but with the help of focused learning this skill of mine has been
improved in a positive manner.
Critical reading:
Reading is the basic skill which is enhanced by continuous learning. Critical reading is
the skill which was not so effective at the initial level, as I was not so good in reading. But after
some times by giving presentation in front of my classmate’s my reading skill has been
improved. Along with this, there are some event’s organized by my college where I have given
speech and represent my college in various inter college events. This as a result enhance my
confidence level as well as reading skill in an effective manner.
Reading essential:
This is the skill which help me in ample number of ways in both personal and
professional level as it attracts people towards me. By reading some articles or giving
presentation in front of large number of help me in gaining opportunities in future. This is the
skill which was improved by my teacher as they provide me various chances to enhance my
reading skills and get high score in my academic years.
