analyzing factors that influences on the decision of students around the world to join Institute of
Management Studies (IMS). In this study and research, the questionnaire was developed in such
a way as to incorporate all the issues and factors that may impress students around the world to
join Institute of Management Studies to pursue MBA programs. They include factors such as;
specialisation offered, alumni orientation, education loans for MBA, establishment history, co
curriculum activities, personal growth and development, management forums, alumni references,
surveys placement orientation, brand names and related variables. A sample of 300 participants

humans. Institute of Management Studies (IMS) offers MBA course with specialisation in

analyzing factors that influences on the decision of students around the world to join Institute of
Management Studies (IMS). In this study and research, the questionnaire was developed in such
a way as to incorporate all the issues and factors that may impress students around the world to
join Institute of Management Studies to pursue MBA programs. They include factors such as;
specialisation offered, alumni orientation, education loans for MBA, establishment history, co
curriculum activities, personal growth and development, management forums, alumni references,
surveys placement orientation, brand names and related variables. A sample of 300 participants
(students) enrolled in IMS were selected to participate in the survey. The data was analyzed

using SPSS version 25 to identify the factors which were considered as the most important ones
for opting IMS by most of students around the world besides the factors that influenced them to
make a decision to pursue MBA education. Based on the results, it was found that specialization
offered was the most influencing factor considered by most of the students around the world to
choose IMS F for the enrolments in MBA programs in Australia.

in the world are coming up in many sections of the world. There exist many colleges and
institutions offering MBA and business programs in Australia which offer both part and full time
business business courses. Long distance learning students, online students and part time
management students have been gaining and developing interest in enrolling at IMS to pursue
MBA programs and other business courses. In relation to the expanding demands of many
organisations for world class managers, several institutes in Australia that offers MBA and
business programs have also mushroomed in the past few years. The MBA is one of the most
well-known postgraduate degrees (Lakhan & Jhunjhunwala, 2018). Masters in business
administration is mainly designed to help the holders who have decided to work in the field of
management and business to acquire and gain much skills and knowledge by giving them
managerial techniques needed on the respective management and business fields. MBA comprise
of more than 30 units with several disciplines such human resource management, accounting,
for opting IMS by most of students around the world besides the factors that influenced them to
make a decision to pursue MBA education. Based on the results, it was found that specialization
offered was the most influencing factor considered by most of the students around the world to
choose IMS F for the enrolments in MBA programs in Australia.

Research Design, Participants, Data Collection and Procedure

important (5). Out of the batch of 300 students, 233 students (164 Male; 69 Females) responded
to the survey resulting in the response rate being close to 77%. Responses of the said respondents
are given in Annexure I.
Data Analysis and Discussion
Hypothesis Testing
In regard to hypothesis testing, the following two hypotheses were stated and tested;
Hypothesis one
Null hypothesis (Ho): There exist NO significant difference between specialization offered and
establishment history of IMS in selection of IMS by students.
Alternative hypothesis (H1): There exist significant difference between specialization offered
and establishment history of the student in selection of the IMS by students.
After performing the above hypothesis test, the value of F (calculated) was found to be greater
than F (table) value obtained: 2.91 > 2.51. This in this case, we need to reject Ho and conclude
that there exist a significant difference between specialization offered and establishment history
of the student in selection of IMS.

Null hypothesis (Ho): There is no significant difference between education loan to finance
MBA and value for money course of student in selection of IMS
Alternative hypothesis (H1): There is significant difference between education loan to finance
MBA and value for money course of student in choice of IMS.
