INTRODUCTION
Developing Leadership and Management Skills is quite important from the point of view
of the students because in this way they will be able to make sure that they are able to manage
these skills in a proper way and attain their academic goals and objectives (Jais and et.al., 2021).
In this report, a detailed focus will be made on self-reflection detailing the learning journey.
MAIN BODY
Scenario- I am a student studying in a university. I have to make sure that I am able to
make the use of Leadership and Management skills in a proper manner so that I can attain my
future goals and objectives quite effectively and efficiently.
As a student I have developed Leadership and Management skills. The skills which I
have developed are explained as follows-
Ability to lead a team- I have developed the ability to lead a team. This ability is quite
crucial in order to ensure that the management of all the activities which are related with the
team can be done quite appropriately (King and Smith, 2020).
Decision-making- I think that I am able to take the various types of decisions according
to the needs and requirements of the situation. This is especially helpful in ensuring that the
management of the Decision-making process can be done appropriately (Klassen and Donald,
2020).
From my self-assessment I have found out that I have certain Leadership Strengths and
also have certain Leadership Weaknesses. Their assessment can be made in the following
manner-
Leadership Strengths-
I am able to ensure teamwork in the teams in which I work. Therefore, this is helpful for
the team as it is able to attain its goals and objectives in the future in a right manner.
I can ensure that through the use of my leadership skills and abilities I am able to make
sure that I can solve the problems and issues of the team members in a proper manner.
Leadership Weaknesses-
I am weak in the application of my analysis and interpretation skills. This makes it quite
difficult for me to understand the nature of the situation sometimes and taking an action
accordingly.

I am weak in cooperation and coordination. I need to improve this skill because it is quite
essential for the purpose of ensuring that the attainment of the common goals and
objectives in the future can be done quite effectively and efficiently in a proper manner.
I think that I have to take part in a range of activities which are helpful in addressing of
the weaknesses and enhancing the existing strengths in a right manner. Therefore, the
various types of activities which can be used are explained in the following manner-
Taking the charge of the team- This is an important Leadership Development Activity
in which I will take part in the future (Nghe and et.al., 2020). This is so because this will
be quite helpful for me in understanding the way a team is managed and the work which
is done by a team is effectively and efficiently managed in a proper manner. Therefore, it
is quite important for the me because it will be helpful in addressing the weakness of
analysis and interpretation because in the role of Team Leader I will be required to make
sure that I am able to learn about the way in which I can manage the team in a proper
manner by analyzing and interpreting its results regularly.
Taking part in Team-Building activities- I will make sure that I am able to take part in
Team-Building activities which can help me a lot to be able to attain the relevant goals
and objectives in the future. This will be particularly helpful in ensuring that I can
manage out my wide range of needs and requirements in a proper manner. This will help
me a lot in addressing the weakness of cooperation and coordination as by making the
use of these activities I will be able to make sure that I cooperate and coordinate in a
proper manner and thus ensure that I can effectively and efficiently attain all the relevant
goals and objectives as a Team Member.
Playing Games with the Team- I will ensure that I engage in the games which are being
played by the team. This will be quite helpful for me as it will lead towards a better
management of the team members and thus in this way I will be able to make sure that
through making the use of the appropriate approaches and methods I am able to help the
team in the game which will also contribute in my Personal and Professional
Development in the future in a right way. I will be able to make sure that I enhance my
strength of teamwork in this manner as I will be able to be in a better position to
contribute for the team.
Engaging in Problem-Solving Sessions- I have to ensure that I am able to engage in the
Problem-Solving Sessions which will be really helpful for me to be able to make sure that
I can assess the various types of problems in a proper manner and thus solve them
effectively and efficiently. This will be helpful for me in enhancing my strength of
