Topic: Career Aspirations

Introduction
This presentation will cover my career aspiration as a
nurse.
It will also provide my career map
There would be supporting literatures to the career
aspirations.

Nursing definition
Nursing is regarded as protection, promotion
and optimizing health and ability through
diagnosis and treatment
There is usage of the clinical judgment to the
provision of care.
This allows people to enhance, maintain, or
even recover health and cope to health
issues.

Career choice
My main career aspiration goal is to become a nurse
practitioner.
I have wanted to become a health professional for long as
I can remember.
This is a career path which I am excited to pursue and
follow.

Nursing is a appealing career in the modern
society
It has primary value which it promotes in its
practice that is the care of life (Wong,
Laschinger & Cziraki, 2014).
The public opinion polls recognizes a nurse as
a person who create healthcare system work .

Reasons for choosing nursing career
The education and career aspirations which
includes;
Students’ belief that nursing is the choice of
career
Advancement in the nursing career or the
nursing education
Personal ability
Expectation of employment
Opportunity for caring (Wong, Laschinger &
Cziraki, 2014).

Factors influencing choice of career
Career which is good and stable
Personal contact
Media influence on society impression (Curtin, Malley &
Stewart, 2016).

Role of nurses
As an aspiring nurse there are various roles would be
required to perform these are;
Monitoring of the patient status along with response to
healthcare delivery plan
Executing orders given by the patient physicians.
Evaluation of the safety of the healthcare plan
Offering holistic patient care.

Personality traits
Caring: I have the heart for the babies and would like to
be in a position to do everything I could to assist them’
Perform well under pressure: I do not get stressed easily
and can perform high level during high pressure.

Conclusion
In conclusion, looking forward to my future as a medical
professional.
Being in a position to provide quality care to persons who
are in need.
Passionate about, and this is the major component to
patient satisfaction and recovery.
