INTRODUCTION
Academic skills are the approaches which assist in better learning so that individual can
achieve success. These can be developed with the help of core skills including presentation
skills, academic writing and referencing (Bhagra and Sharma, 2018). In order to perform
operations in practical life it is important to focus on academic skills as it develops over all
personality of an individual. These skills creates positive mind set and attitude of students
towards their learnings and courses. This report will include literature review about
responsibility for students learning.

out in context to student learning which shows their ability which is developed with the help of
learning. Students should be responsible for their own learning so that they can achieve their
targets in effective manner. It is important for students that they involve themselves in the
activities which are beneficial for them in order to learn something new. They can discuss new
ideas and thoughts which enhance their knowledge in appropriate manner. Students have to focus
on their regular classes so that they can participate in lectures and sessions which are mandatory
for developing skills. Assignments should be taken seriously by students which assist them in
increasing their creativity. Teachers should analyse the behaviour of their students so that they
can teach in required manner. It can develop better understanding between teachers and their
students so that they can interact in better manner. Students have to formulate their goals and
targets so that they can learn according to them (Wang Hu and Zhang, 2021). It help them in
developing better confidence which is essential for better development and growth. A proper
schedule is formulated by students according to different sessions and classes so that they can
manage time according to priorities. This help them in learning each and every topic in proper
manner according to their importance. Maintaining discipline in learning is highly necessary so
that targets can be achieved in appropriate manner. Participation in group projects and

speaking and listening practices. It enhances their essential skills like communication skills,
interactive skills and active listening skills. Different factors such as dedication level should be
enhanced by teachers by involving each and every individual according to their preferences.
Proper planning should be carried out according to the requirements of topics and subjects so
that all the relevant points should be covered in effective manner. Students have to develop some
of the traits which can add value to their personality are as follows:
Emphasis on achievements: It is important to recognise the achievements so that
students can effectively boost their morale. It provides opportunity to achieve self actualisation
needs of an individuals when their efforts are recognised. Appreciation creates positive mind set
of students which assist them in learning with full potential. Students who realise their
achievements tend to achieve higher targets and goals in comparison to others.
Practice self acceptance: Individuals have to accept their positive and negative traits in
equal manner so that they can develop their positive personality. Weaknesses should be majorly
focused so that students can formulate plans to overcome them (Hamad, Al-Fadel and Fakhouri,
2021). It is required to improve the weaknesses as it helps in achievement of large number of
opportunities. Effective strengths can be easily developed with the help of practising on positive
factors which is essential for students.

Making personal changes: In order to become more responsible it is important to
change factors which are not supporting development of confidence. Specific objectives and
goals should be prepared according to the requirements so that students can contribute efforts
according to that. Changes should be carried out which assist in proper growth so that good
scores can be obtained. Different activities should be divided into smaller and individual sections
so that students can focus in appropriate manner.
Rewards and support: Teachers have to offer suitable rewards to their students so that
they can analyse their worth. It make learning more effective when teachers appreciate the
efforts which are contributed by their students in learning different things. Students can achieve
good targets when their teacher become responsible towards them (Hill, Khoo and Hsieh, 2020).
They should support their students by clarifying their doubts and problems in effective manner.

assist students in participating in group activities which assist in development of improved

factor in development of personality. It increases adaptability of an individual so that they can
learn their respective course in critical situations in effective and efficient manner.
Students can make good choices for their future so that they can develop their better
career. Better opportunities can be achieved in effective way by becoming responsible which is
essential for obtaining good grades and scores. Wider information and knowledge can be gained
by students which maintain appropriate standard of learning. Academic and writing skills should
be involved which provides wider scope of success to students. Students can effectively evaluate
and analyse their strengths and weaknesses which assist in improving themselves in desired
manner. Teachers can take feedbacks from their students on regular interval of time so that they

can understand how to teach and what to teach their students. Performance of students can be
easily improved by taking reviews so that they can become more productive. Sessions and
classes should become more interactive which eliminates the gap between teachers and students.
It is responsibility of teachers to take assessments of their students which identify the weak areas
so that teachers can specifically focus on those areas (Veerasamy and et.al., 2019). Proper
learning environment should be formulated so that they students can share innovative and
relevant ideas with each other. Knowledge and skills can be easily developed when teachers
involve different type of assessments in their learning practices. A clear picture can be achieved
with the help of assessment which shows strengths and weaknesses of the students. It eliminates
stress and burden from students which can make them more productive in their respective field.

CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that academic skills plays important role in
developing personality and career of an individual. It is important to focus on the areas which
support in learning new things. It assist in balancing the professional and personal life of students
by developing new skills. Critical situation become easier for students after developing relevant
