10PROJECT/PLACEMENT DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION
4 Skills Developed to Solve Work Based Problems
Many challenges and problems were encountered while working on the project of
developing a student network society however; that resulted in the positive manner as I
developed many skills those will be helpful in delivering the future projects successfully. These
knowledge and skills helped me in generating following personal development skills:
Technical Knowledge application: I identified that for the successful accomplishment
and delivery of the project, theoretical knowledge is not enough in technical aspects as the
scenario keeps changing as we proceed with the project. However, I took this project as a lesson
and tried to gather technical knowledge as much possible ad implemented them in the present
and future projects. Completely relying on the theoretical knowledge could never led to the
accomplishment of the project in successful manner as proper decision-making is needed in the
context of the changes arising during the growth and development of the project.
Team Work: Working alone could never result in a beneficial manner, as it is a crucial
aspect to consider as many aspects as much possible and stick with the plan. Team is always
comprised of individuals from different backgrounds and different skills and thus, innovative and
creative ideas are always encountered during the execution and development of the project. It is
an essential factor to work and collaborate within the team and manage them is the biggest
challenge. I tried to manage the team members within the team and kept the conflicts miles away
from the project.
Ability to Identify Problems – I passed this major quality during the development of the
project as I identified many problems those had restricted me in delivering the objectives and
scope of the project. It is very often visible that individuals fail to pick out the exact trouble and
Document Page
11PROJECT/PLACEMENT DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION
apply any remedial measures that do not have an effect on the real hassle in any way. I had
embraced my quality of problem identification and their prioritization as per the need of the
project.
In-Depth Knowledge of the Solution – Some other are not unusual trouble observed in
the course of the projects is that the individuals recognize the answer to a trouble however does
now not recognize to use the identical efficaciously in an effort to cope with the problem. I was
nicely handling the problems encountered during the execution and therefore, earlier than the
challenge, I evaluated feasible challenges and troubles and studied their possible answers
therefore. This helped me to use solutions to the troubles correctly without dropping an awful lot
time or resources.
2.5 Actions Taken / Not Taken
It was also a crucial objective to identify which action should be taken and which should
not be taken and I considered it as a crucial objective for the development and execution of the
project.
Actions Taken – the primary activity was to execute the market analysis in manner to
identify the needs and requirements of the targeted customers those were the students of the
GSM University. In manner to solve the problem identified in relation to the studies and personal
development of the students, I proposed the above option as a solution and consulted with my
team members on whether it would be helpful for delivering the project or not.
Actions Not Taken – I had not executed the project unless the scope and objective for the
delivery of the project was very clear, that resulted in positive manner as the identified
objectives, and scopes were the center of concern during the overall execution of the project.
Document Page
12PROJECT/PLACEMENT DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION
2.6 Learning Taken from Project
Practical skills and knowledge were gathered during and after the development and
execution of the project that will be helpful in the present and future scenarios of my life. List of
the skills developed can be listed as:
Project Management Skills – I was well introduced with the theoretical knowledge of the
project management however; this project helped me in realizing the concept of the project
management in the real world.
Value of Team Work – Team and their contribution in the development and growth of
the project plays very crucial role in delivering the positive outcomes from the project. It helped
in tackling with the problems encountered and introducing creative and innovative approaches
for the project.
Time Management Skills – There are various activities involved during hosting an event
like this and time should be managed according to the left and activities done. There should be a
routine for the delivery of the project and activities as enlisted in the above activity diagram.
3.0 Conclusion
It can be concluded that for the project would not be successful without having proper
knowledge and skills necessary for the execution of the project. I had developed many skills and
knowledge and it can be stated that practical experience is never been the same as that of the
theoretical knowledge. However, it is very crucial to consider the theoretical steps for the
delivery of the project as it would have never been started if I had not any theoretical knowledge
about the management of hosting.
