INTRODUCTION
Study skills are the approaches which are applied to the learning and are essential to get
good grades. Such skills are essential for learning throughout the life of an individual whether in
schools or in higher education (Green, 2017). It is one of the essential skill which helps the
learner to acquire better understanding of various concepts which will ensure a better and fruitful
future. This report is based on various aspects which are required for higher studies. Learning
approaches are various approaches which helps the people in learning various aspects. Various
learning strategies are discussed along with that a study plan is developed which will help the
learner to attain both professional and academic success.

Learning strategies are referred as various methods that are used by the students to learn
whether in the schools or while are in their higher studies. Such strategies ranges from
techniques for improving the memory of the students and for their test taking strategy. When
students enter in higher education segment they have to develop various skills in them which will
help them to be successful in their career. Performance assessment, project based learning,
conceptual learning plays a crucial role in the overall development of an individual. It add up the
quality and the values in the capabilities of the individual. Various learning strategies that can be
used are Spaced Practice which suggest that the studies need to done on regular basis which
means it must not be done a night before exams. If time is equally spaced on regular basis then
that will help the learner to remember it for a longer period of time while the overnight studies
only helps them to get marks but does not contributes to the level of knowledge (Ellis and
Goodyear,2019). The other strategy could be Retrieve Practice which suggest that the learner
should first try to retrieve the information from their mind without going through any material.
After retrieving they should pen down everything and then should test its accuracy by comparing
it with materials. This will help them to retain and understand any concept for a longer period.
Elaboration is another strategy in which any idea should be described in detail. When any
concept is being considered by the learner then they should consider all the related facts and
figures, this helps them to have a in-depth understanding of the topics. Also it will develop a
habit of analysis which will help the learner in decision making (Longworth, 2019). Concrete
