INTRODUCTION
Higher education comes on the third level of the education after leaving the school. It is
taken under the consideration from the universities and educational colleges (Espinosa, and et.al.,
2019). The report based on the skills required for the higher education will be covering up the
four of the aspects related to the higher education skills which includes the getting the
experience, connecting with peers, making own experience, and focusing on the skills. Further
the report will be including the personal experience regarding the CV. The report will be
including the skills set of the eight skills that are required by the students to be developed with in
the university and it would also be discussed that why these skills are important for the
professional career and with in the work place.
MAIN BODY
Assessment 1:
Explaining the four of the aspects related to the skill development:
The explanation related to the four of factors mentioned are stated as under:
Get experience online: the term experience is the factor that demonstrate the value of living
through the events with in the moments and learn with them. The experience also includes in the
obtaining knowledge with observation, study and gain in the experience. The phase of the getting
in the experience have following factors with in it, that consists of the skills and the knowledge
gained during the performing the actual tasks and it also includes something that someone have
done with in the actual time (Moura, and Brito, 2019). The factor that helps in gaining the
experience are interning, job shadowing, volunteering, working in the neighbourhood and on the
online basis to gain in the experience it can be done by freelancing and working and gaining
knowledge through the online work space modules. By performing all these activities the
experience helps in gaining knowledge and learn about the everyday realities related to the
particular jobs or businesses or for the real life. Most importantly it helps in equipping the soft
skills that are needed with in the personal and the professional life.
Connecting with the peers: This is one of the easiest way to gaining knowledge and experience
by connecting with peers. It has been observed that majority of the people will approach their

peers when they required to learn new skills. This process of connecting with peers is a very
effective tool of development that has the capability to overcome the limitations of facing
various common limitations while in the process of skill building. This process is a very effective
process for skill development that helps in enhancing the experience related to work. The process
of the connecting involves different stages which are obtaining the essential knowledge that is
required, starting practice by applying the required knowledge, having proper feed back and
having the reflection of what has been learnt and applied onto. These four stages of learning is
also called as the learning loop (Deeds Pamphile, 2022). The process of the connecting with the
peer also helps in developing the management and leadership skills. This process also involves
reflection from the side of group which helps the individuals by having in the honest reviews and
constructive feed backs.
Forming of own Experience:this is the learning that is based on personal experience that helps
in developing work experience and required skills to assess different tasks. This own experience
can be developed through managing a side business. It can be manifested that earning profit is
not the main requirement but learning different things from managing a business is the main part.
Such experience from this side business can provide chance of gaining experience through
dealing with various challenges ranging from accounting, finances, marketing, etc. to the tedious
and challenging task of problem solving. It is said that knowledge and experience gained by an
individual never goes in vain i.e., it will be helpful for him in his career when he will be least
expecting it to be of any help. Thus, learning from own experience is the best learning as an
individual gains the knowledge by himself without any help of others and has the clarity of what
he has learnt and experienced. This way, he will never forget what he has learnt and will respect
the value of this learning and experience as he has put in real hard work to go through it.
Focus on skills over setting: putting in the focus towards the skills, is completely based on the
extensive research in to how the learning progresses is facilitated. Focusing on the skill set will
be providing a road map for closing the learning gaps. The focussed skills include building in the
blocks for the learning (Cavus, and et.al., 2021). As during in the pandemic, the learning and
working was being commenced from the home and these included the various skills for that
needed to be improved by me and that will be providing me with the help are eliminating the
distractions, reducing multi tasking, practising mindfulness, doing meditation and getting more

sleep that can help me to be productive. These all the skills mentioned will be helping me to have
all the proper experience to work back with in the office.
Sharing out my “Personal Experience” after enhancements in the CV:
As per the overall enhancements and skills and experience that I have, shows me the
result that it is not appropriate as required by me to have in the job post I desire. Further, the
current work experience that I have is not appropriate for the future enhancements required by
me for my professional career. From the all the things done by me makes me think now to get
back to work and cultivate the working experience to have the job that I am the best suitable for.
As I got to know about the best way to gather the experience is to join in the virtual courses and
gather proper knowledge (Reser, and Bradley, 2020). The best reason that I have behind this
virtual learning and having in the experience from the internet, is that it will be providing me
with the proper projects and with the real time skills and abilities to take over these projects by
also developing my personal life.
Assessment 2:
Discussing the skills and their importance in the personal and professional life:
Communication skill:this is one of the most important skill to be developed while in the
academic sessions and these skills also provides with the help during the whole personal and the
professional career. The enhancement of the communication skills includes the written and the
oral communication, presentation skills, active listening, non verbal communication, feed back.
Some of the external factors that facilitate communication skills are the respect towards the one
conveying through the communication, confidence to speak in front of them, and conveying the
message with the proper clarity (Nair, and Fahimirad, 2019). These skills can be improved by
having following in the various factors like listening, looking with whom the conversation is
going, conveying with the proper body language. The communication skills are important
because it helps in by allowing the peoples to understand the information being conveyed in the
good and organized way in accurate and quick manner. Having in poor communication skills
provide a negative impact on the one to whom the messages or the information is conveyed out
by creating the situation of misunderstanding and frustration. Having in the good communication
skills and interpersonal skills will be essentially providing with the abilities to collaborate with

other and helps to build a good rapport with in the audience to whom the message is being
conveyed too.
Money management: this is the skill is the process of tracking in the expenses and go investing,
budgeting, banking and assessing all the tax liabilities. The money management skill can be
developed by using in the different methods like Tracking the spending for improving the
finances, Creating a realistic monthly budget as per the income, Build up the savings though its a
time-consuming process, Pay over the bills on time on the monthly basis, Cutting back on the
recurring charges, Saving up cash to afford big purchases, and Starting with the investment
strategy. The money in the initial stages can be managed in the smart ways like by using in the
numerous techniques like avoiding debts, saving in money in the early times, and ensuring the
safety in the against the emergencies. The three most of the common area for the money
management are the budgeting, paying off the taxes and retirement planning and estate planning.
Money management skill is important because it helps in looking on to the better perspective by
guiding with where to spend the money and how to spend the money. This also helps in keeping
the spendings in budget manner and to have the hike with in the savings. With this skill,
controlling of the money can also be learnt that will be helping for the development of personal
and professional career.
Time management: time management is one of the most essential skill to be learnt with in the
academic career that will be helping in the growth of the professional career too. The time
management skills helps in to develop the management ability to have the proper tasks to be
performed like with in the university (Öz, and BALYER, 2018). These all includes extra
curricular activities, doing in the proper task at the part time jobs, preparing for the examination
and doing in the assignments at proper time by managing all the tasks to be performed on time.
Students in the academic year requires this skill a lot as it helps in by enhancing their all over
performance. The development of the time management skill will also be helping to have the
proper performance in the professional career. With in the work place having the skill of the time
management helps a lot as it helps to maintain the ability and the performance to complete the
task on time. This also helps in to maintain the capabilities of taking over the multiple task with
in the organization and proceeding with the proper results. Availability of the time management
skill by working with in the organization can help to meet up the deadlines of the assignments

and the tasks given on the proper time and this also shows that the individual is highly skilled
can have multiple tests to be complete on the time.
Problem solving and critical thinking skill: All the students faces in various problems which
appeared to be almost impossible to be resolved. The solution for the problems requires only an
approach to solve this problem or issues from another ways by thinking for it out of the box and
it can be taken over as by taking in or doing in the research on the issue in a way that it has been
never conducted in the past times (Keevy, 2020). This requires the individual to be thinking
critically and develop and improve the skills related to problem solving. Thus, the university life
teaches the students to be keen observer of the current problems in hand, critical thinker to find a
solution and be efficient in accessing the skill of problem solving. The precious and invaluable
skill of critical thinking and problem solving is what is expected by the employers and
management to be possessed by the employees in the organization. This is because of the whole
and sole objective of running the projects and operations smoothly and avoiding any hindrances
& unexpected stoppages in these processes and operations. Therefore, the employers expect the
employees to take on the initiative on the occurrence of such hindrances and stoppages and have
the successful drive to over come the issue.
Constructive criticism:this is the part of the existence and the survival, which can be related to
the survival In the different areas like might be with in the academic institutions or at the work
places. The criticism is that part of the life which a person have to face, let the person be in any
of the area. Criticism can be of any type some times it might be related to the fair practices and
sometimes it might be related to the unfair means. In the areas of academics, the criticism can be
faced in the way because in those areas no one is considered to the perfect one. Individual can
receive It from any of the tutor or the colleague. So this becomes a part of the life of the
individuals. A person when reviews the feed back or is being felt criticized with in the
organization then the individual must calculate the values of evaluating the mistakes and must
take in the proper decision to take up the constructive measures to rectify the mistakes made
(Fakhretdinova, Dulalaeva, and Suntsova, 2020). This ability of the constructive criticism with in
the work place is no use as the work place is to be filled with the people those are capable of
facing in the criticism and can improve their performance as per the mistakes made by them.
Further, the habits of including in the criticism in the academic sessions can help in the
individual to succeed in their academic years.

Cooperation skills:the cooperation skills are the one that helps in to have the social
development and success of the organization that they worked inn or going to work for. As per
the modern times with in the modern times all the things required for the growth of an individual
is to have all the modern policies. The cooperation skills includes the following with in them like
the open mindedness this is one of the most important factor that need to be developed with in
the cooperation skills. The cooperation skills also includes the following with in it like proper
communication, organized behaviour, long term of thinking, adaptability and the quality to
debate. The cooperation skill is the type of the skill that helps to develop the ability to be used
while working in with in the group with other team-mates and colleagues by working in the way
to develop something new and by achieving in the common goals that are setted up with in the
organization. This is the skill that helps to facilitate proper working with in the group by
developing the soft working and talking skills and behavioural abilities to have in the
collaboration and team work to be facilitated with in the work place and also with in the
academic institutions. This skill will be helping in with in both of the academic area and the
professional areas of the development.
Creativity and innovation:the creativity with the innovation is the skill that helps to carry out
the tasks in the creative ways and this is the skill that helps in by bringing in new ideas let be
related to the academic areas or the professional areas like the work places and the personnel
offices and this is the main skills that helps in to come with in the team meetings by showing in
the new and the constructive ideas that includes the innovation with in them. This skills help a
individual to think out of the box without thinking about the past by changing the things for the
betterments (Gruzdev, and et.al., 2018). This make the individual with the creative minds to be
curios. The skill of the creativity and the innovation can be developed by adopting the various
ways that includes creating own Ifs, practising the dreams, making in the time for the cohesive
creative thinking, learn to make the ideas pitch in to the realities, and might be bouncing with the
ideas of others. This skill of the innovation and the creativity can help in both of the academic
and the professional career development and will be helping in the work place by providing in
with the best innovative ideas in the work place. The skill of creativity and the innovation
requires with the elements like curiosity, risk taking, creativity and the collaboration ability.
Team work skills: the team work skill is the ability and the quality with in an individual that
helps him to develop with the working ability with others including the conversation, project

management, meetings, and collaborating with the peoples to facilitate the proper results with in
the organization by developing the abilities being quoted. This skill is considered one of the most
important skill that helps in the personal development and the professional development of an
individual's career (Qizi, 2020). The team working can be facilitated with the following factors
which includes productivity, happy working conditions, focusing on the individual strengths,
knowing the ways to communicate with the team mates, respecting the co-workers, setting the
goals to be achieved with the projects, making all the responsibilities, expectations and the roles
of every individual clear to the individuals, and this all can be facilitated by the being appointed
as per the capabilities and the responsibilities being set aside by the leaders as per the abilities of
every single individual. Team work is one of important skill as it makes the person to convey the
ideas and confidential information to have the proper functioning of the team by properly
achieving in the goals and objectives of organization.
CONCLUSION
The above report based on the Study Skills for Higher Education has concluded about the
explanation of the four aspects that have been discussed and explained in brief in the above
report (Arora, and Srinivasan, 2020). The report also concluded about the personal experience
that is based on the experience gained in during the overall conduct. Further, in the report it is
also concluded about the eight different skills that is being developed with in the academic
institution and is considered to be helpful in whole professional career by working in the work
