Communication skill does not require only the way of speaking but it also include
listening ability of a student (Khan and et. al., 2017). It is essential for a student to listen
what others are saying and then respond on the same topic of conversation. Here, tone

questions in class and maintain good relations with other students and teachers.
Time management skill- It is the skill which help student to analyse the important of

manage their time to complete their projects and assignments on time. it also help
students to analyse those tasks or projects which are urgent to complete first by preparing
priority list which include activities and projects dead line to submit. Managing time to
attend one class just after another is a tough task for a student. Time management skill
will help student to analyse the ways and manage their stress to attend two or more class

Team working skill- This skill helps to enhance the habit of working within a team or
group of 8-9 members. This skill help students at higher education that how they can
distribute the roles and responsibilities of their groups with each other and work together
by managing all factors to achieve the main goal of their group. This skill is considered
as important for students because there are various kinds of tasks and activities in higher
school which they have to perform in a team like Group Discussion activity, group dance
completion, drama or skits, playing basketball competition and many others (Parker and
et. al., 2019). All these activities are performed in group and it is important that students
will learn the value of coordination in this skill. Effective team working is only done
when all team members understand each other’s communication ways, share
responsibilities and roles according to their specialization and coordinate well with each
others.
Leadership skill- This skill consist of influencing and managing other people in such a
way which will help to achieve a particular goal. It is also one of the most essential skills

Decision making skill- This is also important skill for a student where students enhance
their ability to understand their environment and situations and make a proper decision
which will help them to solve the situation in best ways. Here, students can make a best
choice out of various alternatives to handle a situation. It is important for higher
education students in many ways such as selecting the courses by analysing their interest
and aim of life and then select the course which best suit to their interest and help them to
get the degree of those subject which they want to study. Most important thing for this
skill is making good decisions which can be done by students by collecting information
about the situation and makes various alternatives or ways to handle the situation (Murr,
Larkin and Höner, 2021). Then they can analyse pros and corns of each alternative and
eliminate those alternative of solution which has more corns than its pros. In the end they
will choose that alternative which will help them to handle situation in effective and best
manner as compared to other alternatives. This skill can be learned by coaching and
practice of making good decisions for higher education different situations.

perform their tasks and activities. This skill will help students to gain the attention of
teachers and whole class by providing an innovative solution for a problem (Lewis,

than others and get higher marks. For example, a class teacher has given an assignment
on presenting a PPT report on the topic “personal and professional development”, most of
the students made PPT as simple as possible without using any image, ignoring font size
and many other things which are unattractive. An innovative skilled student will
represent the same topic by adding pictures related to topic, focuses on font size and
explain each slide of PPT by providing real life corporate examples which is not used by
any other student in the class. This innovative idea of student will help them to get
attention and appreciation from both teachers and classmates for their new and unique
idea.
Problem solving skill- This is another essential skill for a student at their universities. It
involves solving any problem in such a way which will restrict the issue to arise again in
future. Here, students are given an issue or problem and they are asked to solve it
effectively. Hence, the first role of student should be understanding the problem

effectively and analysing all factors behind arising and affecting the problem. Then
students must analyse different ways and identify which solution will best suits to
mitigate the issue from root. For example, when a student is given a task to solve the
conflict of two students in a same class then that student can analyse the reason behind
their conflict and can request them to compromise few of the needs and expectations
from each other’s and become a good friends. That student can also aware both parties
about harmful impacts of the continuity of their conflicts for longer period of time.
Problem solving skill help students in those subjects where teacher provide them class
activities or assignments to solve a case study (Carpenter and Moser, 2020). Here,
teachers provide a case study to students and they are required to solve the questions of
the case study. Students read the whole case study and understand the issue discussed in
case study and provide solutions to mitigate the issue present in case study. Here,
problem solving skill will help them to make innovative and effective solution to a given
problem.
Conclusion
From the above information it is concluded that there are various kind of skills which
help student to learn how they have to behave and how they can become a good student and
corporate with faculty members. Communication skill, time management skill, problem solving
skill and many others help students to achieve their tasks and activities which are given by their
teachers effectively. Most of the skills are helpful to complete their assignments and projects
