There is a necessity for the students to take a University degree. According to a research, it was
shown that the students who haven’t taken a degree at the University level do not have any
knowledge about the organisations that are present and the types of jobs they will get. The
students had only knowledge of the books. A degree at the University level will help them to
know about different organisations and will have proper exposure to the market. A number of
communication skills like oral and written will be provided to the students as to how they need to

gives the person better options in their career. These help the students to achieve the desired
goals in their life. Degree at University helps the students to develop their skills and enhance
their performance. The main reasons for the students studying a degree at University are Better
Opportunities for the Career- A degree at the University level gives the students better
opportunities to enhance their career a lot more. A University degree is mainly of practical study.
This helps the students to have an exposure of the market and how jobs will be. This is more of a
professional study than of a bookish study. Investment for the future- A degree at the University
level makes an investment that helps to enhance the future. This is another reason for the
students to study for a degree at the University. There are certain jobs that ask for a University
degree. This helps the students taking a University degree to have proper investment for their
future.
Personal Development- A degree at the University level brings in personal development for the
students. They get to know about the professional studies. This study will help the students to
know what kind of service they need to provide in their jobs.
2. What are the core academic skills that can be developed and why are they important?
There are number of core academic skills that are necessary to be present. These help to develop
the performance of the people. The different types of skills and their importance will be
explained below:
Oral skill is a part of communication skills. Oral skills are such skills that are performed
verbally. In this type there is a minimum of two people who are involved in oral communication.
These are essential for the individuals to enhance. The importance of oral skills are this helps to
communicate verbally within two or more individuals, this helps in progressing in the world of
working, this helps in speaking in any meeting and in public areas

Writing Skill is a part of communication skills. Writing skills are such skills that are performed
by writing. This helps the individuals to communicate in the form of writing emails, messages
and letters. This helps in enhancing the individuals in the field of writing. The importance of
writing skills are this makes the individuals to communicate by proper emails, letters and
messages, this helps the individuals to communicate over the tables and long distance
communication as well.
Vocational skills are such skills that are necessary for the individuals to perform so that they
show the capabilities they have in the area of trade of craft. These skills are important for
individuals to develop them to work in the market. The importances of vocational skills are that
these help the individuals why manual work is important; these help the individuals to become
strong in this field.
Time management skills are such skills that enable the individuals to manage time in such a way
that helps them to meet deadlines so that they finish their work on time. The importance of time
management skill is that it helps the individuals to complete their work on time.
