INTRODUCTION
It has been analysed that skills play a significant role for the growth and development of
every individual because it make people work hard and perform better. People with good skills,
are able to perform challenging tasks. Study skills improvement helps student to make their
career on the basis of their higher education. This report insights a number of suggestion on the
basis of provided article. There are eight important skills are also identified in this report with the
purpose to increase the work performance at the workplace (Athanases, 2021).
PART 1
1. Selecting the four recommendations which have been mentioned above and explaining the
details:
It has been observed that every individual is every conscious about the career
development as it is very significant process. Curriculum vitae refers to a document containing
carried life and course of experiences by every individual. This report insights performances of
candidates. CV plays a significant role during the recruitment as it provide all relevant
information about the individual. There are some recommendations given below, which helps to
improve CV:
Start with a skills audit
Good skills are very crucial for the development of career of every individual. Employees
improve their skills in order to prepare themselves for the world and face difficulties. Every
individual need to evaluate their skills in order to make themselves able to apply for a job
position. Knowledge and skills make a person eligible to fight with challenges and resolve the
arising issues. It has been observed that organisations always demand for a knowledgable and
skilled employee. Skills audit refers to a process which evaluates knowledge and skill carried by
person. It also helps to determine key improvement areas for an individual which is required for
the development of the career (Baird, and Parayitam, 2019).
The skills audit is helpful to meet the market demand. It also informs about recruitment
expectations of organisations. Employees audit their skill which helps them to identify their
weaknesses and area of improvement. Employees asks career expertise for their suggestion who
can share their experiences. Expertise share their experiences which helps employees to maintain

their CV to grab better job opportunities for their career development. Grant-maintained CV
helps to impress mangers while job interviews (Baroudi, and David, 2020).

it has been rectified that online and digital platforms are comparatively cheaper and
provide a wide range of information about the education and job recruitments. Online and digital
platforms support people to develop their skills and earn knowledge, sitting at home. It is less
expensive and easily accessible to all age group. Usually all of the companies seek to hire
employees with online work experience. Mangers and HR hire employees who work as an intern.
An employee must have capability to grab online career opportunities.

online. Improving quality makes individual more capable to grab better job options and

valuable asset which turns the table in the world of employment. The one who has experienced
working for many years, is eligible to perform difficult tasks and improve the CV. Every
individual grab the opportunities to explore and experience online job offers which make them

In the process of career development, CV plays a important role as it helps to
demonstrate individual's knowledge, skills and working experience. An individual can grab the
opportunity to get a higher position if he has an excellent CV. Organisations also prefer hiring
experienced employees who can make profit for the company. In order to maintain CV,
individual add working experiences, gathered knowledge, training certificates and acquired
degrees. From my point of view, a well-maintained CV means working experiences along with
good skills and knowledge. I thing I have enough working experience for my own betterment
and development of career. As per my knowledge, my CV is well-maintained as it includes my
working experience as well as my training certificates. I require some improvement in my CV
because it would help to get better career opportunities. I always try to get better job offers and
opportunities for my career development and personal benefits. Online platforms have given a lot
of informations in order to guide me to get better job options (Ehlers, 2020).
In my point of view, my CV carries all the job requirements as well as expectation of a
reputed organisation but still new skills and job experiences are required to get a better job
opportunity. I am satisfy with my own skills and knowledge as I am eligible to deal with critical
situations. I need to develop some more skills as I want to apply for some higher positions.
Higher positions in an organisation requires more skills as they are reliable to provide guidance
to people who are working under their guidance. Some training sessions are also required me to
grab better job opportunities. Training sessions are very essential for knowledge enhancement
and development of skills. Training sessions and practices would help me to become a
professional who can work more effectively. Recently, I am concern about improving my
knowledge and skills with the purpose of making advantage of better job options. I need to
develop some specific skills in order to add them in my CV which is required for development of
my career (Elfeky, and Elbyaly, 2021).

Eight skills that helps students to develop within university setting and their importance at
work place
It has been observed that there is a drastic change between the today's employment
market and the previous one. Previously, no one was aware of artificial intelligence and robotics.
Training sessions are required to make students expertise which would help them in their career
development. These training sessions or internship provide a wide range of knowledge as well as
skills which make them work more effectively and efficiently. Developing skills helps students
to make strategies in order to earn organisational benefits. During the training sessions, students
are provided some key abilities and skills which plays a significant role in their future
development. Therefore, development of skills are very essential to adopt critical and new
circumstances. Universities must provide training sessions and internships to students to develop
skills for their bright future (Freitas, and Almendra, 2022).
 Adaptability skill- Adaptability skills deal with skills which are require to make
employees flexible and adjust according to the circumstances and environmental
conditions. Flexibility play a significant role as it is considered as valuable assets in the
world of employment. A flexible individual can give quick response in order to resolve
an arsing issue in critical circumstances. Being a student, it is very important to be
flexible and adaptable as it helps to formulate different strategies and their
implementation, respond in critical situations, expectation trends and achieve their career
goals. Adaptability demonstrates, student's curiosity for their upcoming projects and
learning and developing skills. It has been analysed that being adaptive is very essential
to be productive and earn benefits. Adaptability helps to minimize the stress, a individual
has during the adaptation of any changes or modifications. Apart from this, knowledge
and skills are required to be shown in order to demonstrate their team leadership skills
and other required skills and knowledge (Hains-Wesson, and Ji, 2020).
 Communication skill- Good communication skills helps to achieve the goals and
perform the task successfully. It is considered as key of success. Communication refers to
exchanging knowledge in a way which understandable to the persons, sitting in front of
speaker. Communication is all about sensing and receiving information. It need to be

done effectively in order to deliver information in a way that is understandable to
everyone. There are two types of communication including oral and written
communication. Written communication deals with developing skills for writing formal
and informal letters, emails and messages. It has been observed that communication plays
a vital role at the workplace. Thus, students require to develop good communication skills
to put their thoughts and ideas effectively. Good communication skills make a person
eligible to become a team leader who can provide guidance to other team members and
organisation to achieve a specific goal. It helps to provide a clear direction to the
company to make competitive advantages. Developing good communication skills is very
helpful to build trustworthy relationship with peers as it develops the ability to listen
carefully to others. Good communication skills play a significant role in student's career
development as it boost up their level of confidence to perform better (Klegeris, and et.
al., 2019).
 Team work- It is very important to work with others as it helps to work more effectively
in order to achieve a common goal. Students are required to learn leadership skills in
order to lead their respective team and Provide guidance to other team members. Students
need to work collaboratively with their peers in order to achieve their common goal and
make benefits. They need to prioritise to achieve common goal rather than making
personal benefits. Employees must make efforts to enhance the sale of the company as
without efforts it is not possible to increase the sale of the company. Universities need to
make students understand that it is very essential to work collaboratively with others in
order to perform the task effectively. Student must learn how to listen and follow their
respective team leaders when they are working in a team. These working skills are
important to attain their future goals. Along with this, student must learn about enhancing
learning opportunities as it helps to acquire more knowledge and skills (Kunicina, and et.
al., 2019).
 Critical thinking & problem solving skill- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
are very important as it helps to resolve arising issues in the company. It helps employees
to examine their ability to deal with critical circumstances. Employees need to respond
quickly and effectively during critical conditions. It is considered as the key skills to
become a successful employee and perform effectively. Student develop different skills

and ideas to deal with arising issues in order to resolve them. Developing critical thinking
helps to identify better options in order to resolve the issues. Critical thinking has been
considered as most significant When it comes about finding a quick solution to the
unforeseen issue or problem. Critical thinking is required to resolve all the problems
associated with school, college and workplace. It make a person able to tackle all the
critical circumstances and become more imaginative. Development of critical thinking
make employee think and explore more ideas and options to deal with critical conditions.
These skills are required to motivate and encourage students to innovate and experiment
in order to gather knowledge to perform task effectively (Maloney, Ryan, and Ryan,
2021).
 Time management skill- It has been observed that it is very crucial skill as it helps
students to become eligible to work efficiently. Now a days, management of time is
required to work in such a competitive environment because it is a very tough task to
manage the workload and complete the task within the deadline. Therefore, students are
required to accomplish their task in the shortest time to increase their working efficiency.
It helps students to target their goals effectively and accomplish their task successfully.
Students can perform between in their future career as time management is most
significant ability to work on a reputed and senior position If they have an effective time
management skill. It is very important to maintain the quality at a workplace as every
organisation demands employees to work with dedication. Individual can easily provide a
quality work with a proper utilisation of the time & prioritization of different task. It
helps employees to focus on their work in order to accomplish it within the deadline.
Employees develop the skills to manage their time in order to work with full attention and
focus (Nurse, and et. al., 2021).
 Technology skill- Nowadays, it becomes very crucial for students that they need to work
to develop their skills and being adaptability. In order to expand the business on
international level, company use advanced technology. Every individual organisation
seek to hire employees who have great knowledge about advanced technology and can
handle all the equipments being utilised in the company. Students need to acquire
knowledge about the technology in order to grab better job opportunities. Students are
making advantageous over their peers who are honing their technological ability (Zlatkin-

to survive in a competitive market. Technological knowledge and skills also helps
students to resolve technological issues associated with their work. In order to acquire
knowledge about advance technology student must have develop understanding about the
basic of the HTML, CSM, JavaScript and CMS (Okolie, and et. al., 2022). This learning
would assist student to work effectively with web teams and IT. Technological skills
facilitate interaction with other employees through social network and many other
platforms. With the help of technological skills, students can demonstrate their skills and
abilities effectively. In order to develop technological skills in students, universities must
have provide a specific technological training to students where they will get a guidance
to handle technologies. Technological skills make students work efficiently (Varenina,
and et. al., 2021).
 Decision making skill- Decision making refers to a process of deciding or choosing a
particular set of action within a certain time in order to achieve the target. Making
effective decision in critical situations demonstrate mental strength of an individual.
Good decision making skills are considered as a valuable asset as it make employees
choose best option in order to resolve arising issues. Employees develop decision making
skills to make mindful decisions in order to make organisational benefits. Good decision
making results desired outcomes. Hence, it is very important to develop decision making
skills because it boost their confidence level good decision making skills assist students
to become a good leader who can provide guidance to their team members and make
good decisions in order to achieve a common goal. Good decision making skills help
student to save their time and accomplish their task effectively (Singh, and Singh, 2019).
 Creativity and innovation- It has been observed the market is changing constantly. So,
students need to be creative and innovative. Special trainings are provided to students to
enhance their creativity and skills. These skills helps students adapt changing easily.
Innovation refers to implementing the ideas and thoughts to get desirable changes and
results. Students demonstrate their creativity in order to survive in such competitive
world. Students need to learn how to merge the creativity to build a unique perspective
that is different from others. This skills allow students grab better job opportunities for
the growth of their career. Students can determine that which areas they need to focus on

for their own progress by understanding the creativity and innovation (Sushma, and
Samartha, 2022).

From the above report, it has been observed that knowledge and skills are required in
order to survive in present market scenario. Developing skills and knowledge provides a wider
range of job opportunities for students. Universities require to provide training sessions to
students which would help them to get a high level and respectable position in a reputed
organisation. In order to get better job options student must focus on their learning skills and
gather knowledge to maintain their CV. Technological training sessions are also provided to
students in order to make familiar with advanced technology. It has been analysed that there are
eights skills required to be adapted by students in order to improve their performance including
adaptability skill, communication skill, team work, decision making skills, time management
skill and technology skill.
