INTRODUCTION
Listening is very essential concept within higher studies because it helps in attaining and
completing the assignments very effectively and perfectly. Effective listening is a part of success
of higher studies. This essay report present the challenges that students face in listening due to
which they does not studied properly (Richards and Pilcher, 2020). Further it also involves the
suggestion for teachers to improve the listening ability of students so that students achieve higher
success within their higher studied.

There are various difficulties that student would face in understanding the lecture,
conversation, talk, conversation (Prepare English language students for academic listening,
2021). Listening is very critical skill because without listening a student cannot gain success
within corporate or personal field. Listening is very crucial because if a student have good
listening skill that he/she is able to interpret in what people saying in various academic
situations. Hence, there are several difficulties that individual would face when they does not
listen the ideas, lecture, conversation properly. It is crucial for students to understand the content
of lecture at the speed it is delivered to them from the lecturer side because it positively
contributes on developing group projects, informal social interactions etc. From the article
various listening challenges are demonstrated below that negatively stroke the individual person
personality within university:
The major challenge under the listening skill is long sentences. Due to which students
does not understand and capture the real meaning of sentences that creates misunderstanding.
Therefore, framing long sentences with the use of lots of items by involving run on sentences
with various clauses that piles with the layers of information. Due to this student face difficulty
with the content of lecture and does not able to record for further use in future.
The another listening challenge is the use of unnecessary words such as use of “So If, If
so etc. In this If within the university, teacher use the unnecessary words while teaching the
students than it impact negatively on the students listening ability (Williams and et. al., 2020). In
this teacher emphasis on clarify the sentences which they frame with unnecessary words so that
learners would effectively understand the summary of content effectively and efficiently.

not able to understand, hear, spell, transfer or pronounce the lecture study perfectly and
prominently. Hence, it is one of the major cause in effective listening on which universities
needs to emphasis so that it would be resolved proficiently and effectively.

repetitions such as an Honour or Honorary. It represent the unsuccessful attempt to begin with
the career (Owens, 2020). Due to this challenge in listening skill impact the students lightening

impact negatively on the image of university. Because at the time of listening it is crucial to have
a whole picture within mind with a proper sequence of information and it is only done with the
use an proper start and phrase. It also impact negatively on the student in capturing information
