INTRODUCTION
A study skills for higher education is a skill guide provided to the students for strategies and
lessons which help the students in improving the study habits, reading comprehension, writing
and learning ability.it is very essential for a student to have a good study skills in order to
improve their productivity and performance. Study skills are also known as study strategies and
academic skills and it is considered as one of the most effective approach to learning (Cottrell,
2020). The report will consists of the various benefits of the study skills required in higher
education in UK and also the personal experience will be elaborated in the report.

A study skill is defined as the process that help the students in studying, recalling and retaining
information.it helps the students in improving the learning ability and productivity of the
students. This is basically a strategic approach used by the students for effective learning. If a
student wants to do higher study in some foreign countries than it is very crucial for a student to
have good and strong study skills. There are so many benefits for the students for studying in
UK and some of them are as follows:
High quality education-The main benefit of studying in UK is they provide high quality
education to the students. There are many courses available for the students like the students can
go for some short term courses and this helps the students in reducing the tuition and
accommodation fees and students can also go for some master’s program combined with the
PH.D. In the UK universities there are modern libraries, laboratories available for the students
and have a very good reputation because of the research facilities (Sera, and McPherson, 2019).
This makes the students more effective and productive in terms of their academic life.
Expertise English language skills-To sustain in this competitive environment it is very
important to have good in English communication skills and UK is the home of English
language and they provide the best platform to the students for improving their communication
skills and becoming fluent. This gives a very huge exposure to the students and they will able to
get a very good package job in their master field. Also there are many English language courses
available for the students which contain lot of fun like games, problem solving quiz and
discussion (Curtis, and Ledgerwood, 2018).

In today’s competitive world where everybody wants a lavish life and a handsome income for
living their livelihood so for all these it is very important to have a good academic qualification
so that one can get a good and desirable job getting success in their life.as a personal experience
it has been observed that studying in abroad is very beneficial for the students as this helps in
giving a platform for enhancing their learning skills and abilities and help the students in getting
a better opportunity in their future career. There are many reasons for studying in UK for higher
studies like it helps in giving better quality of education system, more opportunities for
enhancing the career and also a great platform for improving the skills and also expanding those
skills (Nyoka, 2018). It is very necessary to improve the study skills for the betterment of the
academic life and learning ability. There are many types of study kills that need to be present in
the student for getting success in their academic life like effective reading which helps the
student for understanding written language and constructively help the students in understanding
the meaning of the text, next one is memorization as it helps the students in learning quickly and
through this the students will be able to adapt the learning outcomes more effectively, next one
is note taking and this helps the students in doing more and more practice by making the notes of
the subject they are studying, the fourth one is testing by which students will be able to examine

themselves and this process let them know their position and how much they have learned and
the last one is time management and organization as this is one of the most important factor for
studying and improving skills because it makes the students punctual and discipline in their
academic life(Prieto-Arranz, and et.al, 2021).

for the students as it helps in enhancing the learning abilities of the students and provide them a
platform where they can explore and learn in a better way. By studying in abroad the students
can get a good exposure and can increase their efficiency and productivity in their academic
