that are used to characterize the entire conversation example as Dr. and Prof. It is generally
imperative to adopt words at the right time in discussion so that the listeners are not confused.
Some are use word’s short forms in now days that are confusing for other people in accepting.
While a acronym explain to a set of first word from the expression that is characteristically form
another word example as radar or scuba (Lim, 2018). The Third one is the “Unnecessary
words”, At some point speakers are start with unnecessary words that have no importance or
sense during discussion. In the conversation if person don’t have meaningful words and they
don’t understand how to express their words or things in front of others then they are get more
nervous or use unnecessary words that have no meaning.

Listening skills is referred as a capability to correctly receive as well as interpret various
messages in communication process. It is generally said to be a key of all effective
communication for carrying out communication process effectively. Along with there are some
strategies which can be used by students as a learner to improve their listening skills so that their
effectiveness in listening in terms of carrying out communication process for transferring
information. Some of strategies which are used by learners in order to improve their listening
skills are as follows: “Be open while listening”: This strategy helps students in improving their
listening skills. As when effective listening is being carry on it is responsibility of a listener that
they should not judge prayer before listening to situation or kind of message which they are
being provided with. Learners should listen by having an open mind and do not judge other
individuals on basis of their judgement (Schmidt-Unterberger, 2018). As when information is
being transferred learners should take time to think about information which is been provided to
them and then reflect and provide judgements accordingly in order to enhance their listening
skills. Second is “Listening with awareness”: This strategy of effective listening helps in
carrying out effective communication process in a smooth manner. As in order to enhance
listening skills of learners it is responsibility of students to listen with full observation as well as
awareness towards speaker who is providing information. As students should carefully pay
attention while observing what speaker is saying. As by providing awareness towards speaker
straight away helps learners in enhancing their listening skills that could lead to carry on
communication process effectively. Third is “maintain eye contact while listening”, this most
important to improve the listening skills and show more interest in conversation. Through these
strategies speakers also more confident about the discussion.
There are various listening skills challenges which are experienced that are; Judgement of
speaker or any topic, Judgment of a speaker as well as the subject at some point listener is don’t
know the sense of a speaker or take different meaning of that sentence so it is create more
conflicts among them, Getting prepared to say and thinking for the counterargument, interruption
or distraction, Connecting to what some people is talking as well making it about the listener,
Making more assumptions as well reading the mind of a speaker, it is incorrect thing to the judge
speaker before they are begin their discussion or without a listening their words, provide advice
or counsel and believing that understand conversation already (Tang, 2019). This each is major

challenges that some person is experience in their education life. To overcome from challenges,
it is very essential to make effective changes in their individual or education life so that habits of
their life can changes via this student’s skills also gets mores improve.
