INTRODUCTION
Study skills is defined as array of skills that tackle the process of taking and organising
new information, retaining and dealing with assessment. The study involves mnemonics,
strategy, and ability to recall the information which can help to complete the given project. This
is important for all individual to have good knowledge and learning skills that can be use to
manage the organisational functions (Radovic Markovic and Salamzadeh, 2018). This boost the
person's ability to learn, analyse, and recall information that can help in passing exams and
increasing motivation to work. Good study skills are beneficial for an individual as it reduce the
anxiety regarding deadlines or test which is given by person. In present report discussion topic is
study skills which is gaining by students while taking academic classes, training and studying in
university. The purpose of designing report is to make the transition from secondary education to
learning in higher education. The report covers understanding about how people learn and
different approaches to learning, capabilities of brain and its relevance to academic study, and
mind mapping that aid to storing and retrieving information.
MAIN BODY
Learning is the process of acquiring fresh knowledge, behaviour, skills, attitudes, values
and preference through academic, study, experience and being taught. For all individual it is
important to have good skills which can be used to learn something new and innovating that can
help to complete the project timely. The acts and experience of one which learns a computer
programme, management and others study that provides future employment and higher
profitability (Raut and et.al., 2019). The main task for people is how they should learn that can
help to retain in mind for long time and provides good results. It has been seen that learning
always produce a change behaviour where many responsibilities comes to person which supports
to increase the learning. This is important for individual to analyse the skills and abilities of
themselves which can help to complete the project timely by managing performance. Learning is
the natural and ongoing part of life which take place continuously and build the confidence to
work properly. For example, a person is developing its learning skills by taking academic
classes, preparing case study, giving presentation, sharing ideas and managing the task which is
assigned by tutor or senior. It is not easy to people to develop their learning skills as many
challenges arises while trying something new one. Case study and taking regular classes are

defined as best part of learning as it helps to develop the learning abilities (How people learns,
2021).
This can be explained as self explanatory term which can be use to increase the learning
abilities and managing the functions. There are different approaches to learn which can be use
by individual and group of people to develop their understandings and skills. Behaviouristic
approach to learn is mainly focusing on behaviour of people for the purpose of learning. This
approach involves stages as recognition of knowledge or occurrence, stimulus, multiple
discrimination, concept learning, verbal chain, acquisition of rules, and problem solving which
can help to develop the insights and brining the changes in people's behaviour. This can help to
introduce and acceptance of changes in case of maintaining good behaviour and finding optimum
solution. Social learning approach is also closely related to the behaviourist approach as it
involves observation of others instead of focusing on learning behaviour. For instance, children
do what their parents doing and employees do what their leaders doing that can help to increase
the learning abilities. This approach also emphasis on student of any age whether school or
higher education do as they see, not as they hear. Cognitive learning theory focused on
memorizing and remembering that can help to protect from doing mistakes again and again. This
learning allows brain to understand the data and information that relates to their study and then
remember it for long term. The theory concerned with role of active mind in processing learning
opportunities and developing (Naqvi and et.al., 2018).
Humanist learning approach is also learning based theory that involves concept of
goodness for all. It aims for a united world that is at peace, where learner spread out its
knowledge and understanding to complete the project. The aim behind using humanist approach
is to decide the goals and allocate the work between students and people that can help to increase
the understanding and managing the productivity. This approach is having two forms as
Pedagogy and Andragogy. In pedagogy transmission of knowledge is needed and in andragogy
making things interesting by putting all the learning control in hands of learner (Villarreal and
Martinez, 2018).
Therefore, from the above discussion it has explained people learns by creating case
study, situation, presentation and taking regular classes that can help to attracts the students by
developing skills and abilities.

Academic study is defined as part of learning life that is require at different phases as
when a child born it learns from its parent who called as primary education. When it started to
grow then school and university learning is uses by people that develop their brain capabilities
and increase the workings. The meaning of capability of brain is how easily an individual starts
to learn and getting new ideas for the purpose of developing their skills and completing the work.
The human brain's memory capacity in the average adult can store trillion of bytes of
information. This is important for individual to analyse their brain capabilities by storing,
spacing, and remembering the task that happened in past decades. The brain of all students and
individual is not same where it is important to understand how their mind work and how easily
such people started to learn. There are different phase of learning which being used by people to
develop their brain capabilities. It was reported that cerebral cortex alone has 125 trillion
synapses. Running the numbers – 125 trillion synapses – 4.7 bits/synapse, and about 1 trillion
bytes equalling 1 TB. In another study, it was reported that 1 synapse can store 4.7 bits of
information. Neurons are the cells which processes and transmits messages within the brain, and
synapses are the bridges between neurons which carry the transmitted messages. A person should
have good understanding and knowledge which uses to manage the business performance and
attaining goals properly. At birth, a baby brain is about one third size of an adult's brain that does
not learn anything in their small age. When baby is started to grow then their capabilities of brain
is also started to increase as it observe their parents what they do and doing same. At the age of
schooling, capabilities increases more where it develop and learn the new task or activities from
their tutors and seniors that helps in passing and getting good results (Sultana and et.al., 2019).
The human brain is complex to understand as it generate the highest level of
consciousness and mental process of people such as cognitive, psychologist and behaviourist that
can help to understand and take the right action. This can be understand through an example as
number of students are learning in a class of university where teacher teach to all students same
and making them understand in good ways. While taking the exams or test students has got the
different marks because their capability of brain is not same. This states people take time to
understand the question and respond it properly. In case of students are unable to understand or
learn new technique or courses then tutor should try to use another method of teaching or
learning such as social, behaviour, humanistic, and cognitive which are discussed as above. This
can help to complete the project which assigned by their tutor and managing the all activities

effectively. To develop the capability of brain there is need to be aware of development
difference between people, to set the educational system for the convenience of teaching large
numbers of children, determine the brain maturity for all children, be aware that children who
born prematurely may not be at the same development level, and developing the understanding
of people which can help to attain the maximum marks (Moreira and et.al., 2020).
The brain capacity is relevant to academic skills as it involve various activities and
experience that uses to make understand the people and completing task appropriately. This
develop the brain skills and provide the future employability opportunities. This is needed for
tutor to make efforts on understanding brain of students who registered to obtain higher
education and bring the uses to different learning methods that can help to develop the academic
skills.
Mind mapping is defined as diagram or process of organising the information visually or
actively. This is hierarchical map which shows relationship between pieces of whole. In other
words, mind mapping is the way of linking key concept by using images, lines and links that can
help to remember all thing in mind and working accordingly. This uses the concept of “radiant
thinking” that means thoughts radiate out from a single idea, mostly expressed as an image. This
is important for individual to focus on mind mapping activities that uses to creating the learning
part in people's lives. If an individual is unable to retrieve and storing information then academic
as well as other working would be hampered surely. This create the difficulties for people how
to complete their study, get degree and attain the good performance in their life (Swestyani and
et.al., 2018).
Mind maps is colourful and visually pleasing learning tools that display and link ideas by
making possible by using images, words, and shapes which helps in memory retention. This is
simple technique which uses by individual or other person to increase the creativity as well as
working by running all functions accurately. For retrieving and storing the information process
involved as encoding, storing, retrieval that can help to attain the goals. In encoding new
information is acquired and being converted to a memory. It would not be possible for individual
to remember information in case of not encoding the messages. The second stage is storage that
means memorization. This is possible by following three system such as sensory memory, short
term memory, and long term memory. All stages are uses by people to remember the information

properly. The last stage is retrieval that uses for assessing information from storage process
through recognition and recall (Astriani and et.al., 2020).
Mind and memory is important part of life as many thing needs to remember from
morning to night. There are many exercises to develop the skills of remembering and recalling
the information. Students, adults and others human being can increase their remembering
capabilities that supports to get better opportunities in upcoming period.
From the report it can be concluded that learning is the procedure of acquiring and
getting the new technique or skills which can help to develop the working capabilities. A person
should have encourage to learn something new and creative that might be help to complete the
project and obtaining future opportunities. The different approaches of learning are social
learning, behavioural, humanistic, and cognitive that are uses according to situation. The brain
capabilities of people are not same where tutor make sure that students are learning in their best
way as they wants. Moreover, mind mapping is technique which uses by people to develop their
understanding of remembering and recalling the information effectively.
