INTRODUCTION
Study skills refers to those components which is applied by the students or individual for
adapting and learning new things at the time of gaining education from particular institute
(Colvard, Watson and Park, 2018). With help of these technique potentiality and ability of the
students are enhanced effectively to recall, study and retain information in any condition. In this
way the internal talent of the students are also increased for long time and also enhanced the
performance of student or individual on daily basis. This essay will be covered the different
types of reading techniques which is essential for students to become more efficient readers. It
also covered different types of methods of note taking that will help students to remember new
information. Due to the use of skills in studying students started to speak fluently in their own
and other languages. In this way the reading habit of students are effectively improved for long

Reading technique is a tool which is essential to students for converting the writing into

various types reading techniques which are essential for students are described below -
Firstly, skimming, in this technique full line is not read by the students for understanding
the information (Erasmus and Hall, 2019). Because in this stage the main motive of student is to
read the concept in fast with help of using keywords. Therefore it is necessary for educational
institutes that they must facilitate proper training to all categories of students in long run. In this
training institutes must facilitate challenging tasks to students in the form of case studies and
newspapers which is useful for developing their mind and also analyse that in which way key
words are worked for completing the reading in low time.
Secondly, active reading style, this method is mostly focusing on reading the magazines,
newspapers, articles and books in deep manner but it is not necessary that information is correct
in these sources. In the aspect of student this is a very essential method for their life and also for
developing their career growth in future. Active reading is also important for achieving deep

knowledge about new field and topic at the time of studying in institute. Due to deep
understanding the potentiality of the students are enhanced which is helpful for tackle any type
of questions easily at the time of exam.
Thirdly, detailed reading, it is the another type of active reading but little bit difference
is that in this method accurate information are identified from various sources. The other
important highlight of this process is that reader read the whole text carefully and also used
dictionary for understanding the meaning of each word and sentence exactly. In the aspect of
students it is mandatory because when they apply this method then they understand the topic in
meaningful manner. Due to this their interest and passion towards the study are continuously
maintained for long time (Fettes, Evans and Kashefpakdel, 2020). Therefore it is necessary for
institute that they must provide enjoyable books and videos to students for for increasing their
desires and wants towards the study.
Fourthly, speed reading, it is basically refer to the combination of different reading
technique. The main aim of using this method by institute in form of facilitating different task to
each students is to increasing their reading speed effectively. Because when student have
effective speed in their reading then topics are understand fastly and also completed the work in
time. In this strategy information are comprised in small manner for presenting the topic smartly
by students. In this way the work of particular student get popular between teachers because the
work is done in smart manner which is use for other students also.
Fifthly, structure proposition, it is a very interesting technique for students because in
this technique application and various reports are written in non fiction manner. The pattern
which is mostly followed by students for understanding different type of topics effectively are
proper analysis of structure before doing any type of work. Next step is study of logical
propositions which is useful for organizing the chain of interference. The last stage is analysis of
advantages of advantages in form of conclusion. When all these stage are combined with each
other then the work of the student are easily done inn good way. Due to this the thinking habit of
the students are enhanced at maximum level which is useful for their career growth in long term.
The last one is survey question read recite and review, this process mostly focused on
providing clear understanding of various topics to readers for long time. For clear understanding
students must follow five stages which includes surveys, question, read, recite and review. After
following all these stage the work will be completed in proper and effective manner.

In Survey stage the reader used unique ideas and creativity for writing whole sentence
and paragraph. Because ideas is very important for developing attractive answers and stories in

created then only teachers liked the presentation of students. In this process the thinking area of
the students are extend in wide manner for long time. Question is the next step of survey and it
refers to framing questions according to the selected information. The main motive of preparing
questions is to increasing the development of student mind from all direction. When the mind are
worked in all direction then only good and decent answer are comes from student mouth. Read
refers to read the answer, question and other information carefully by readers and student
(Nguyen, Jefferies and Rojas, 2018). It means careful reading is essential for understanding the
concept and meaning in proper way. Recite is the second last step before reviewing and in this
stage students or readers use their own key words and language for completing the task in time.
When students use their own key words then the lines and answers are developed in unique way.
In Review stage the whole content are finally reviewed by the professor then according to that
result are declared in specific time period .
After the analysis of above reading technique it is concluded that adaptation of reading
technique is a important habit for each and every student. Because with help of effective reading

Cornell method, With help of using this technique students easily prepare the notes in
systematic manner. The main advantage of preparing notes in systematic manner is that students
easily remember in which section or page the particular topic is noted. It is the highly effective
method for developing remembering power of student mind in long term. The basic format for
applying this method at the time of preparing notes by student are maintaining two inch margin
from left and six inch margin from right. The other important essential format is that skip few
lines after for starting a new point. In this technique records are maintained in systematic manner
and due to this students easily find out information within less time when the notes are needed.

effectively.
Outlining method, the main use of this method by the student is to highlighting the
important point in any subject during the time of studying and preparing notes. It is also useful
for write the important points in organized manner (Nortvig, Petersen and Balle, 2018). The
other important factor in this technique is that no bullet points, letters and numbers are needed.
Because in this method all information and sentences are connected with each other in the form
of different parts The format of this method during developing notes are write the points in
specific pattern according to space in the in paper. Mention major points in the left side of paper.
Due to the use of outline format editing and mistakes are reduced in effective manner. In this
way essential points are easily reviewed by the students in every questions. But in this method
some disadvantages are also there for example due to unorganized way of information confusion
are easily created during the time of searching information.
Mapping method, It is a technique which is highly essential to students for completing
the task in time and in this method the informations are prepared in short manner. Mapping
strategy are highly effective for increasing the participation level of students at maximum level.
This strategy also helps the candidate to receive the knowledge from teacher in fast manner with
help of proper understanding of various topics. The format which is applied for preparing notes
by student are adding of number, colour coding and so on. In this type of note taking various
factors and ideas are analysed by the students effectively which is essential for increasing their
thinking ability in long run.
Sentence method, it is basically refers to framing the meaningful sentence effectively
with help of evaluating new ideas and facts (ÖZBEY and GÖZELER, 2020). With help of using
this process the development of students are highly increased in professional manner. With help
of framing the sentence fluency in language are also enhanced for long time. In this stage
paragraph and pronunciation are mentioned in more clear manner in comparison with other
methods. Effective sentence framing also helps to realize the students that where he lacks in their
study. Because this realization is very important for their importance in daily basis. In this
process candidates also used their own ideas and due to this the concepts are cleared for them at
one time in long run.

CONCLUSION
After the analysis of above information it is concluded that study skills, reading
techniques and note taking method plays major role for enhancing the career growth. Note taking
and reading skills is also helpful for increasing the awareness of the students regarding various
courses and field in professional way. It incudes marketing, human resource, finance,
information technology and so on. Proper awareness of all these field and courses are important
to candidate for doing job any organization successfully for long time. Due to use note taking
methods effectively students also understand that in which way the answers are write in exam. It
mean effective are highly helpful for achieving good marks in long term. With help of reading
habit some specific skills of students are also developed which includes analytical skills and
