1. Explain the use of electronic learning
resources (AC 1.3 part)
First of all, what’s E-learning?
It is a way of learning we can obtain through electronic devices
like mobile phones, laptops etc. There are a lot of forms for e-
learning and some are:
A. Tutorials :- Is an interactive platform for learning which
help people learn new skills using a step by step process to
ensure the user is following and comprehending. Tutorials
are very important especially for distance learning or
people with disabilities who are not able to be live in
classrooms. Tutorials also provide a multi-dimensional
experience which include photos, charts, graphics, music
etc.
B. Moodle/ Courses :- This is a platforms for e-learning that
provides students with a unique learning environments.
Moodle is used by lecturers or teachers to create lessons,
manage courses and create an interaction between
students and teachers. It can also be used for assignment
submission and interaction between classmates. Moodle is
used by many educational institutions in the world to
provide central and organized e-learning platform.

C. E-books :- E-book is an electronic opposite of printed
books and they commonly popular between busy lecturers
or students. One importance of e-books is because they
are portable and accessible at all times when in need to
learn or collect data without the stress of going to library
shelves searching books to use.
D. E-Journals These are journals electronically published
periodically usually on the internet. They are majorly used
to read journals on your electronic device without going to
the library.
2. Evaluate the merits of different sources of
information and resources that have
supported your learning process (AC 1.4
part)
A. Authenticity : Sources have to be very authentic by
checking the originating source of the information or
contact information or credentials of the publisher.

B. Accessibility: The information has to be accessible from
the source whereas the user can lay hands on them and
can be available and all times.
C. Price: This is where sources have to be accessible to
everyone or to users of different levels whereas the price
of the information needed is not too much to stop users
from accessing that particular information.
3. Explain the repertoire of reading and
note-making skills and techniques that
you used (AC 2.1 part)
A. Use of record card/notebook: It is very important in
learning because it helps to process and understand the
information received. It helps to focus on important topics
you are reading and also helps to remember and make
connections especially during assignments.
B. Code systems: Is a process of identifying a passage in the
text or other data items like photos and finding relations
between them. It is basically used to link data to the
research idea and back to another data.

C. Skim reading: It helps in learning by reading to locate and
comprehend the main ideas quickly and ignoring specific
details. You will be able to get 50% of the information
from this process.
4. Evaluate the different forms of
communication you have used in the
academic process (AC 2.3 part)
A. Verbal: It’s been used to deliver information face to face
or through phone calls or group conferences. It also helps
you in the understanding the response of the other person
through their body language and helps also to participate
actively in the dialogue.
B. Non-verbal: It is used to pass on information through the
use of body languages, facial expressions, eye contacts,
they are wordless. The way you sit or stand help in
conveying information.
C. Presentational: It can be referred to as visual
communication which consist of both verbal and non
verbal communication. It helps you pass on information
through the help visual aids like presentations which

include illustrations, graphic designs or other electronic
resources.

There are different forms of academic misconduct and some
them are:
Plagiarism: It is a form of misconduct by representation of
someone’s work with acknowledgement of the source as a
student’s work in other to achieve assessment requirements.
This is a very serious form of misconduct and is common among
students. The misconduct
Fabrication of Data: Is false representation of data through
amendment of another person’s work and presented as a
legitimate work.

Commissioning: Is refers to requesting or payment of work to
be one by another individual and submitted as student’s own
work.
All this various misconducts are taken very serious in
institutions as they attract serious punishment such suspension
or expulsion from the institution.

that you have used (AC 3.2 part)
A. The Harvard cover page: Harvard form of cover page is
very unique and organized. It includes the:
- The Name of the Author
- Name of the Course
- Professor
- Name of University
- City the University is located
- Date.
B. The Harvard in-text citation: While using the Harvard style
of in-text citation it involves:
- Author’s name and first initial

- Year of Publication
- Page Number
Citation is needed for each fact stated, if not it’s
considered plagiarism.
C. The Harvard “work cited” reference page/list: Harvard
reference list is arranged alphabetically by authors name
then chronologically by year of publication. For example
for books:

A. Name of anti-plagiarism software: Example of an Anti-
plagiarism software is TURNITIN. It is a software used from
prevention of plagiarism and to check originality. It also
helps in checking citation mistakes and inappropriate
copying.

B. How to use: Below is a step by step procedure on how to
use is:-
- First, you click on the assignment link on your moodle
and select the assignment you wish to submit, add it to
the Attachment link.
- After browsing for the assignment you wish to submit
and adding it to the link, then you click submit and
instantly you will receive a message that your
assignment has been submitted successfully.
C. Produce report: It produces it’s report after 15 minutes of
submission where your originality report will be available.
Next to the report will be your plagiarism percentage and
the assignment can be reviewed by clicking on it.
8.Explain what you understand by independent
learning and time management skills (AC 4.3
part)
Independent learning can be referred to as being able to think
and pursue their on studies individually without some level of
support of your tutors or teachers. To become an independent
learner you to be motivational, resilient which means able to
overcome obstacles and also an excellent time manager.

Whereas Time Management Skills is being able to complete
works on time and being engaged with important activities. It
really helps in building and improving careers, having a good
time management skill leads to accomplishing key goals and
advancing in every aspect of your work.
