What sort of skills did I learn for the PAST WEEKS at GBS?
How to use the library and electronic resources: I have learned how to use the library
and the electronic resources. E-resources help ensure that information is complete
and precise. The e-resources offer a wide range of search options to both library
patrons and staff who manage them. To save space and time, e-resources can be
used by the library. In addition to libraries, e-resources are useful to all members of
society who want to access a wide range of information from all over the world.
Planning: I have also learned about the planning process regarding study and other
things. I have understood that planning is essential for everything. In this case, I
need to identify the reason for planning, the goal of planning, making plans, and find
alternatives to the plan as well (Simmons, 2021).
Note-taking: During the course, I have learned about notetaking. Recording
information from a variety of sources and platforms is known as "note-taking." Taking
notes allows the writer to save their memory from needing to recall all of the details
of the discussion (Kairouz, 2021).
Building a bibliography: I also identified about building a bibliography. In this case,
I can say that
 Author, editor, or publisher's name or organization.
 Sub-Title included in the full title of the book.
 The total number of volumes in several co-works (Bruce, 2021).
 City of the publication:
 The publisher,
 Date of the publication.
Plagiarism: I have also identified what plagiarism is and this is an important part of
my study. To plagiarise means using someone else's words or ideas in your work
without giving credit where credit is due. This definition encompasses all published
as well as unpublished material, whether it's in manuscript, printed, or electronic
form.

Finding and reviewing sources of information: I also learn that a library search is
a good method to start looking for information. Selected resources for my research
include subject databases. Subscriptions to libraries are linked to Google Scholar.
Google Scholar can be used to access e-resources.

What sort of skills do I need with special reference to below.
Reflection: I have also learned about the things regarding reflection. It's about
students becoming more self-aware and able to share their thoughts with others.
Learning can be assessed in terms of the "why" as well as "how" it occurred, and as
a result, what is required. Self- and peer-assessment naturally leads to reflection as
part of the learning process (Kairouz, 2021).
Communication skills: Though I have proper verbal communication skills
throughout the course, I have also learned about different parts of communication
skills which helped me to develop my skill more (Chen et al., 20210. I was weak in
non-verbal communication skills and this course helped me to learn more about
nonverbal communication skills effectively. In the future, I can use those skills for the
development of my career activities.
Essay and report writing: Essay writing and report writing are very important for
any professional course. I learned different things regarding essay writing and report
writing during my course. I was good at essay writing, but I wasn’t good at report
writing. This course helped me to learn different things regarding report writing. In
the future, I can write good reports for professional purposes and therefore this can
help me to become a successful person in the future.
Debating (online and classroom): Debating skill is very important, but my debating
skill is not good. Therefore, I need special support from my teachers to improve my
debating skill effectively.
Presentation skills: My presentation skill was also not good. I have learned
different presentation skills during my study. Still, I need to improve my presentation
skill to become a successful person in the future.

Time management: With the help of this course, I have learned time management
skill is very important. I am good at time management, but still, I need to improve my
time management skill for my future.
Revision strategies: I have learned different revision strategies for improving my
problem-solving skills properly (Knoll, 2021). However, still I need proper revision of
my books and course time o time to be more professional and knowledgeable in the
future.

What are the challenges of studying and how will you overcome them?
What strategies will you use to help you to overcome these challenges?
I have been facing some challenges in this course. To overcome the challenge, I will
take the help of my family and I will check the calendar to maintain proper time and
date which will help me stay on top of my assignments, exams, and other
commitments (Knoll, 2021). On the other hand, I will take help from my lecturer to
reduce my challenges as well.
What support do you think is available?
I think the support of my family members, friends, and lecturers is available for me.
Along with this, I will also get support from books and the library in my study for
overcoming challenges.
How will you manage your time and ensure you stay on track?
I will maintain a notebook and chart of my activities to manage my time and to be
sure on stay on track.
