Unit 1 what is stylistics
Stylistics is the highly researched elements of English in twenty first century. They are
flourishing in all aspects that include modern stylistics such as feminist, discourse, and cognitive
stylistics. These are considered one of the most valued methods in teaching and learning a new
language as it gives the learner the idea about the style of write-up (Maracale, 2017).
It is also considered essential in the areas of creativity where it is helpful in analyzing the
type of writing of an individual. The most important purpose of an stylistics is to enriches the
mind of the reader with the particular style used in the section.
The unit has helped me understanding particularly about what stylistics are and their
purpose. After knowing about the stylistics I was able to understand the Shakespeare write-up in
an more effective manner.
Unit 2 Stylistics and level of language
There are various level of language that are used in conveying the crux of write up to
other readers. Some of the ways through which it could be conveyed are phonology, graphology,
morphology, grammar, lexicology, semantics, and pragmatics. The combination of all these
make up an understanding about the stylistics used (Lewis, 2015).
Different parts of language are interconnected in manner that are helpful in achieving the
right results in a manner that leads to high level of understanding between the people.
After acquiring knowledge about various levels of language, I have understood the ways
in which combinations are used in achieving the right kind of style to convey the meaning to the
target audience.
Unit 3 Grammar and style
Grammar signifies the bedrock of the language where the right meaning to the target
audience is conveyed. It forms the basic part of the language where the right ways are conveyed
to the reader. The grammar units are highly important as it directs the right manner in which

things are conveyed. It also has its own structure which is used by the writer to convey the
meaning to the target audience (Kunte, 2016).
The parts that are used in the grammar are-
Sentence
Phrase
Clause
Word
Morpheme
Some of the important elements of clauses are subject, predicator, compliment, and
Adjunct. These elements form the basic part that conveys the intelligent ways to the reader.
The grammar and style unit had added knowledge to my understanding about the usage
of words that helped in its effective usage.
Unit 4 Rhythm and Meter
The sound Patterning is helpful playing the important role in literature especially poetry.
It also tackles the core features of the sound patterning in the effective manner.
The organized pattern of strong and weak syllables is helpful in recognizing the
communication pattern of the poems. It includes repetition of words, rhythm, periodicity, and
stressed or unstressed syllables.
According to various researches, metrics analysis is not considered the exact science as
there are no perfectly legitimate patterns of doing it. Moreover, the freedoms provided to the
readers have the good amount of choice to show it in a verse (Maracale, 2017).
The knowledge of Meter have been of great utility as it has given me the idea about how the
poem is read out and how the sound structure is developed.

Unit 5 Narrative Stylistics
The narrative stylistics is a way in which the write up is being written and conveyed to
the target audience (Lewis, 2015). It shows the way in which message is conveyed to the target
audience.
The narrative stylistics has various forms that include sadness, happiness, and
belongingness that helps the reader to develop that type of emotions about the write-up.
It develops the intention of the reader towards the piece of the write-up.
The Narrative stylistics had taught me the ways a particular write-up has to be written. I
have become more understanding about the way other authors write.
Unit 6 style as a choice
The style is a way used by the author to make readers feel or get to the set of emotions
through a write-up. It has several ways through which the resources can be put to various uses in
a manner it conveys the intention of the author (Kunte, 2016).
Transitivity is way through which the meanings of various clauses are concluded. It
represents the understanding and the knowledge of other people in the best possible manner.
Material process is the way in which the things are done that include the two participants
that is An actor, and Goal.
The type of style has given in me the understanding about the ways in which the styles
are used in a manner to depict the understanding of the context.
