Learning is a continuous process for me to prepare for the success at the University. In
order to gain personal and professional development it is important for me to invest into learning
in order to gain knowledge and creativity (Al Shobaki and et. al., 2018). For me to develop
myself as a learner it is important to participate in module sessions at the University.
I have enjoyed the whole module “Preparing for Success at University: Knowledge and
Creativity”. It has given me an opportunity to develop myself as a learner and also it was good
for expanding my limits of learning new skills. The module has different sessions and each
session has different topics such as SWOT analysis, reflective writing, academic writing etc. was
helpful in developing my knowledge and understanding in different areas that aims to prepare me
to gain success in university. The module as a whole has allowed me to foresight into more
specific areas where I can develop myself as a learner and also gain an understanding of my
areas of interest for future success. The question here arises that how and why I have developed
as a learner during this module.
During the module, there was one session regarding “How to create the power point
presentation”. In this session there was the group activity where I was working with other team
members and tutor asked to prepare the creative and effective presentation on topic
employability skills. This helped me to develop my presentation skills and creativity skills. This
has helped to gain extra capabilities for my future job roles and also developed my confidence to
develop an effective presentation with creativity (Allina, 2018). This session also supported me
to become learner and learn team working skills in order to become worthy and supportive team
member that have full contribution in the success of the task assigned to team.
In addition to this there was another session regarding the learning about the MS Excel.
This helped to develop my technical knowledge about using the software where I can feed large
range of data and information in few minutes. In this session, I have also gained knowledge
about how important the MS Excel in current business settings and is also required to develop to
develop a powerful CV for the future employment opportunities (Dintersmith, 2018).
To meet my future challenges with courage I will develop a action plan with my learning through
session of SWOT analysis so that future challenges are mitigated timely with creative solution.
University there is opportunity to attain the merit and distinction in the assessments for this I will
develop a Personal development plan to improve my skills and knowledge to perform best.

In addition to this, to develop myself as a learner I have acquired knowledge of different
learning styles such work based learning, visual learning etc. This was very knowledgeable and
interesting part for me because by this I was able to determine my form of learning style. This
part of the module was interesting I was getting along with the tutors instruction in order to
identify my way of learning styles for the better learning experience to enhance my knowledge
and learning in future (Revilla and Rodriguez-Prado, 2018). This is most effective week session
that has actually allowed me to grow myself as a learner.
Further in this module to grow as a learner I learnt about the two most important subjects
including referencing and academic writing to attain success at university. With knowledge and
creativity it is important in academic setting that I must prepare, execute and submit all my
working on different project and assessments with integrity and honesty. For this, I learnt about
academic writing that has taught me regarding the academic integrity and academic misconduct.
Academic integrity is all about maintained honesty, respect, truth in the work during academic
setting which I have done explicitly. I have also learnt about different academic misconducts like
copying, plagiarism etc. which can affect my career and success therefore I must take care of
avoiding it my career at university and further employment.
In this session to keep the academic writing viable and ethically correct I have also
learned about the pattern of referencing my academic writing. This was very new learning for me
as I had never seen or heard of something like that before. Thus, in this I have learned about
different types of referencing such as Harvard, Chicago, APA etc. and how to do in- text citation
from the same.
Question 2
Thus, by development of different skills, team working and sessions in this module I was
able to develop myself as a learner which tends to improve my professional career. The overall
module was full challenges and task which was enjoyable and learning experience. But, in this I
realized that for meeting the future expectation of the university the knowledge and skills of MS
Excel is something that I must pay attention in order to upscale my future skills and capabilities.
But as there are still future challenges and expectations of a university course that I must address
effectively by excelling my capabilities in the subject of MS excel. Also, for the future career
and professional development the future challenges and expectations of university course can act
as barrier. Therefore, to remove this barrier my approach will be to keep practising on my

strengths and mitigate my weaknesses by practising more and more on the MS excel. For this, I
will anticipate myself into coaching with tutors to gather the informational resources and
materials for the better understanding of the MS Excel. From the above report it is concluded
that, as an individual it is important to self reflect on my experience of the particular situation to
identify the overall learning gained from that situation (Supena, Darmuki and Hariyadi, 2021).
Thus, to develop myself as a learner the foremost thing to do is to indulge into the learning
modules. It is analysed to develop as a learner it is important to develop the knowledge and skill
regarding the MS Excel to meet the future goals related to success at university and also to attain
the best employment opportunity.
