1 – Project planning
Scope:
It is another thing that is present in the project management plan which explain about
the scope of project. Likewise, in order to conduct study related to “talent management
strategies’ the scope is wide as it include all areas or accepts such as how the organisation
manage talents, practice used by HR to manage people and many more. The company has
planned to start an project of “ Better Workforce Management campaign” to manage the
talented employees in the firm. Therefore, the project will be completed within a time frame
of 3-4 month for enjoying more benefits (Pérez‐Sanagustín and et.al,, 2021).
Milestones
In order to complete the project ofBetter Workforce Managementthere are range of
activities such as planning, organizing, execution, controlling, monitoring and closure are
being performed by the project manager. The milestones of each activity has been clearly set
by the project manager so that all efforts can be lead to complete the task in most effective
manner for better outcome and achievement of end goals (Santoso and et.al, 2021). Key
milestones related to Better Workforce Management is represented through making use of
Gantt chart such as
Initiation, planning and execution
Initiation: In the initial stage the in which manager has visualized what are the issue that are
face by the company so that alternative actions can be plan to overcome or eradicate the
same. So, at this stage it defined the scope of project, associated stakeholders, key objective
and many other crucial information pertaining to the project that can be helpful in project
planning and accomplishment of end goals (Helms, 2021).
Planning: This is stage in which the project manager will plan key activities that need to be
performed, total number of financial, human and other resources that will be required by

company to complete the project. Furthermore, in this stage activities are schedule, cost or
budget are prepared as well as identification of risk and method to eradicate the same.
Execution: It is the third stage in which the project will execute through delegating the task
and responsibilities that need to be completed by each and every individual in the project.
Human and financial resources are organized and coordinated so that they can be optimum
utilized for implementation of project and accumulating sufficient information (Paudel,
2021). So, is a stage in which the project is actually made as per the requirement related to
retaining talented employees in the organization.
Monitoring and controlling: In this stage the project manager monitor each and every
activity that is performed by different individuals working in the project. So, that they can
identify particular error or mistake found in project and plan set of action that can be used to
overcome for better outcome (Griffin, 2021). Likewise, information technology will be used
to have sufficient information pertaining to the progress made in the project.
Closure: It is last stage of project management in which the project is close by providing all
necessary information related to the project completion to the client or interested people.
Along with it the stakeholders are also informed that the project is being closed with
attainment of objective of retention of employees in the company for long term.

Risks and/or issues identified
Points to consider:The risk related to work is financial risk as huge amount of capital is invested to
complete the project so they need to be cope up. Any other changes in external environment may also
impact project adversely.
Problems encountered
Points to consider: The challenges that I face while completing the project is lack of skills, knowledge
and capabilities in effective manner. I have planned to overcome the same through developing the skills,
knowledge and capabilities as desired to complete the project.
New ideas and change of project direction
Points to consider:In order to complete the project, I have find out more innovative, creative and better
ideas that could be used to manage the employees. Such as the project will oversee all the aspects or issue
that are being face by individuals within firm pertaining to their salary, respect and recognition and many

more. As per the risk, the strategy has been clearly changed so that it can be avoided or eliminated the
same for fruitful result. Such as If it has been identified that there is financial risk that the amount has been
optimum used.
What have you learned about yourself through your work?
Points to consider
I have also gained knowledge or learn about the strategies used by manager in detailed such as
providing or organising appropriate training and development program to educate employees regarding the
way task need to be completed. Another strategy is performance management that has been used by the
manager as it monitors overall performance of employees, find method to improve the same. Financial and
non-financial motivators are also being used by the Sainsbury HR manager to influence employees to
enhance productivity so that company can gain competitive advantages (Griffin, 2021). So, having
understanding related to the subject matter has helped me in effectively completing the project and
accumulating necessary facts, figure and information related to talent management.
Next steps for your work
Points to consider:I have prioritised that I will firstly analysis and decided particular source from which
information will be gathered so that it can be utilised to complete the study or project. Furthermore, I have
decided to take step pertaining to evaluate and monitor whether the project will be completed on time or
not. Yes, sufficient time has been allotted to complete the project.
Project plan status to date: 30 November 2021.Yes, I am track on to complete the project on time so that
end objectives can be achieved. Furthermore, I have complete the project while considering all the

What did you aim to achieve through your work?
Through the work I aim to gathered sufficient information related to the retention strategies that are used
by companies to manage highlytalented, qualified and experience individuals in the firm. Along with it
different challenges that manager might incorporate while complete the project successful for better
outcome.
Did your work succeed in achieving your aims? How do you know? Specifically, please
outline any evaluation and assessment undertaken.
Yes, the work succeeds in achieving the aim as I effectively plan and organised activities that needs to be
complete on sequential basis so that project can be completed as desire. Likewise, I have conduct research,
gathered and analysis information for learning the way companies manage the talented employees in the
firm. My positive attitude has helped me in staying positive and effective handle the particular situation.
What aspects of your development process do you think worked well and why? Evaluate
all aspects of the project (e.g. initial research, concept development, development
process, presentation, etc.) from a range of perspectives.

Out of all the development process such as initial research, concept development, development process
and presentation, it has been find out that development process has worked well. As in initial stage I have
face in planning key activities while in development stage I just have to implement all the task as set
objectives.
What problems emerged during the project and how were they tackled? Was there
timely identification of issues and resolution during the project process?
There are various problems that has been face during the completion of project such as I was not able to
gathered sufficient information related to the way talented employees can be retained in the firm. So, I
plan to tackle the same through making use of both primary and secondary method to complete the study
successfully.
What did you learn from undertaking the project?
I find the study very useful as well as interesting as through it I am able to gain knowledge or learn
information related to the way manager motivates highly qualified, experience and more talented
individuals to work for company. It has also help in improving my various skills such as research,
presentation, analysis and team working that is useful for me in future circumstances.
Such as through conducting the primary and secondary research, I am able to understand the type of
method and manner in which study is pursue so that necessary information can be gained in limited time
frame (Griffin, 2021). Furthermore, it has helped in building my presentation skills as I am able to
effectively present, organised several topics in the project thereby it can be easily understanding by other
interested individuals.
What are the strengths and weaknesses of your process that you have identified?
The strength in the process of pursing the research was my good analytical skills as it helps me in
effectively analysis the gathered information. Furthermore, better communication skills contribute me in
presenting the information in more appropriate manner. While my weakness is lack of working in team
and making use of different sources to gathered more information related to the study.
How could your process improve for the future?

So, I have decided to improve the same in future through working on my current skills such as team
working, research and sources from which information can be gathered. Likewise, I will take steps to work
with diverse range of people, effective make use of books and internet to gathered more and more
information related to the way talented employees can be managed and retained in the company for
