SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF COIT20249 2
Part A: Justification
I have successfully undertaken the course and finished it successfully. During the course,
I was able to apply my listening and communication skills – both verbal and interpersonal
competencies in many instances. One of the greatest times when these necessary skills were
exercised was during the presentations. Here all the important communication skills were used.
In addition to this, I was able to learn and acquire presentation skills.
In the course of the learning, I used my reading skills all through. For instance, I was able
to read through the APA reference guide and be able to use APA style in referencing my work.
When working on the presentation, teamwork was crucial. At the start, we had problems with
members failing to turn up, but we solved this by coming up with group rules. Every member
was supposed to contribute toward the success of the whole team actively.
During this course, I was able to work on a dilemma case scenario where the real test was
to either choose me or decide to follow the set code of conducts. I was able to make the right
choice by choosing to work together with my superior in the workplace as I consulted them all
the time when it was necessary.
During my period doing the interim training, I was able to learn how to set up and use
some collaborative and communication skills (Ong & Ragupathi, n.d., p. 5). In the organization,
I was attached they mostly utilized the use of Google Hangout to pass communication that was
deemed informal. All formal communications were shared via the email.

Part B: Feedback
There are some things that interested me while learning this unit. First, the use of
presentations to deliver an assignment. This was critical as it did boost my presentation skills and
made me confident to present again. Secondly, the kind of tasks given is efficient. The example
of the dilemma case is meant to jog the learner's mind and make them think critically. Also, his
instills proper professional conduct.
There are some areas however that I would want to be improved. This does not mean that
they are not good. First and foremost, the number of presentation-like assignments should be
increased as its benefits are enormous. Another area of concern is the group discussions. This
should be made compulsory, and anyone reported to have caused any problems punished. My
primary reason for emphasizing on group work is that teamwork build skills useful in work
environments.
