Topic – Planning for summer holidays
Main idea sentence - Holidays are something every person looks forward to. I love to spend
some quality time in my summer holidays by planning some good vacation trip.
Introduction
The summer holidays are called summer vacations during the middle of the summer
season. For fact, both colleges and schools remain closed in the summer months due to the high
temperatures1. I always have some good plans in my summer vacation every year, mostly
travelling out of my country. However this year I think I would do something different.
This year I am planning to visit one of the exotic destination within my country with my
family. This year I am planning to visit the famous Niagara falls with my family in the summer
vacation. I am very excited for my trip to the place since I have heard a lot of stories about the
place beforehand.
Every year, Niagara Falls, which is one of North America's most powerful falls, attracts
several diverse tourists. This largest fall is situated at the Canadian province, that is at Ontario as
well as the U.S. state of New York, that is not far away from my residence. We agreed to go
there on this summer holidays2. Some of the special features of this place that I have heard from
my friends include its cloudy weather with intermittent showers that are broadcasted by

meteorologists. The scenery is beautiful. There lies several grape fields and trees lined the road
to the left and right of Mississauga-Niagara.
I have planned to do a lot of activities to this place this summer. Among the several
things that can be done in the Niagara falls USA, I am eager to visit the Niagara falls state park
having panoramic view of the three falls, tour in the “maid of the mist boat”, visit to the old fort
of Niagara and the cave of the winds. I would definitely try the Niagara gorge hiking trails and
the jet adventures as well as the jet boat tours in the whirlpool.
Conclusion
I am really excited about my trip to the Niagara Falls this summer holiday with my
family. I am thoroughly looking forwards for this trip since I want to experience all the
adventures in this exotic tourist place that is situated right in the middle of my country.
