active streamlining. Companies have been able to cut excess cost that is required in the
operational process. Distribution of the Sales process is also considered to be important in this
case. Inventories of company vendors are also considered important in the operational process.

have been an integral part of the FTSE 250 Index. Gary Kenedy is the chairman of the
organization. Patrick Coveney is the CEO of the organization. The total revenue that have been
collected till date is £1,498.5 million. The operating income that have been made in the process
is £102.0 million. The net income that have been made in the process is £12.6 million. The total
number of employees that have been working for the organization is 15,800. It can be stated that
Greencore Group PLC have been one of the important producer of the convenience foods. Proper
supplying of the wide range of the chilled, frozen as well as ambient food to some of the retail
and the service customers. They are considered to have great passion for great food and also
operate as an efficient cost control process. Providing great food have been one of the chief
aspect that is to be considered in the operational process. It can be stated that the chefs have been
creating over 1000 of new recipes. They have also been working on keeping the products fresh

are bought in. These are the scopes where SCM have been playing an important role in the
functional process of Greencore. There are certain aspects that are to be considered. In this
process, it can be stated that people who are at the core of the SCM re given higher importance,
business effectiveness have been another principle that is considered by Greencore for
processing of the business operation. Great food have been another fact that have been
considered to be important. Cost efficiency have been one of the major aspect that is to be an
important aspect that can be considered to be important (Mangan and Lalwani 2016).
Greencore have been considering the fact that the people who have been working in the
organization have been acting as the major asset to the organization. The differentiation that have
been brought in the system is due to the higher efficiency of the employees. This section ensures
that the latest recipes that have been acting as the specialty will be benefitting the entire system.
Hence developing a proper relationship with the employees have been the prime goal of the
organization (Christopher 2016). The ethical policies are also developed in the process and hence
wise suppliers, customers, contractors, suppliers and employees are contracted as per the ethical
policies that have been set.

been benefitted in a manner that the suppliers are encouraged in a manner that they too share a
proper feeling of delivering proper quality of the product. This is one of the major aspect that is

frameworks.
Despite the fact that there have been high benefits in the operational course of the SCM,
there are issues in the system as well. Data gathering of Greencore have been another issue that

Greencore PLC, is that proper assistance in the area of warehouse is provided. This providing
of the warehouse processing will be ensuing that the proper optimization is made. Hence wise
proper planning was made and schedule was developed (Cousins et al., 2019). This developing
of the schedule ensures that there will be a proper assessment of the supply chain and logistic
process. Implementation of warehouse management system was introduced in the process. This
section ensures that the data of the suppliers that acts as important are received in a proper
manner. This section ensures that proper data collection will be performed and hence wise thus
ensures that there will be activities like pick and packing of the products and hence dispatching
the same product. Efficiency of product storage have also been increasing due to the application
of the warehouse management system. The association that was appointed to increase the
accuracy and efficiency of the products and the SCM process. Handling of the products have
been another aspect that is to be considered (Schönsleben 2018). This handling of the products
and shipping the same and retrieving the products are the major activities that are considered
under the processing of the SCM. With the help of the warehouse management system the main
aspect that is considered in the process is that data that are generated in the warehouse system are
properly associated and hence this will be benefitting the operational process. Staff resource
planning is also made with the help of the warehouse management system. With the help of the
warehouse management system, the workflow of the entire system have been considered. This
section ensures that there will be usage of the optimized layouts and work flow process. The

Define waste context lean operation. Criticism of lean thinking.
Waste is considered as anything that does not generate any kind of value in the business
proposition. There are mainly 2 kinds of wastes. They are namely wastes that are seen or
calculated and the second waste are the ones that are neither seen and noir can be calculated. For
proper definition of waste, it can be stated that product selection have been based on the
scalability of the number as well as the process that have been getting affected in the ease of
potential changes that are to be introduced in the process (Ben-Daya et al., 2019). There are
mainly 7 types of wastes that are to be considered in the process. The wastes are namely
transportation wastes, inventory wastes, motion waste, Work in process waste, waiting time

It have been observed that Greencore PLC have been trying to eliminate the waste that
have been generated during the manufacturing process. They have collaborate with Sainsbury in
the processing of waste context. There are certain benefits that have been received in the
collaboration process in order to eliminate waste (Durach, Kembro and Wieland 2017). They are
namely benefits that are present in the operational processing is that the significant waste
reduction opportunities have been focusing on the lean supply chain. It have been seen that there
have been a lessening of 1700 tons of waste generation. There have been 17 projects that have
been targeted in this process. Another aspect that is considered in the process is that there will be
an increase in the boding of the employees of the SCM department (Lambert and Enz 2017).

There are certain issues that are to be considered in the process of lean management and

This might be causing stress in the operational process.
Another issue that is considered in the course is that there will be no margin of error for

Quantitative approach is considered to be a process of conducting and forecasting on the
basis of numerical data that is completely based on the company’s working history. Hence in this
case the prospect of management of the Greencore’s data is analyzed. This ensures that proper
management of the time series model as well as the associative model is considered. With the
help of the moving average time series forecasting method, previous data sets are removed and
