Summary
Chapter 1
Thus the main aim of the process of the research will be analyze the challenges that may
create an impact on the upstream SCM in the facilities of healthcare in India. It will also aim at
evaluating the barriers that may affect the upstream healthcare SCM within the Indian region.
The objectives have been set in such a manner so that it can help in evaluating the factors that
may cause a barrier in the upstream SCM of healthcare facilities within India. It will also help
the providers of health to gain an advantage over the competition that is available in the market
with the use of the practices related to SCM.
Chapter 3
This process of research will be based on the positivism philosophy, as the researcher
will be using the facts and the figures that will be collected from the respondents. The deductive
method will be used so that the analysis can be presented in a proper manner and the researcher
will be able to deduce the findings from the analysis. The data that will be collected by the
researcher will be based on mixed method so that the primary data can be used for analyzing the
responses that will be collected where as the secondary data will be used to provide the studies
that have been done earlier by other authors. The researcher will be using the survey method, as
the responses will be collected from 50 people of the healthcare organization. The researcher will
take help of the descriptive purpose so that it can help them in pooling the required data with
respect to the issues that are present within the research. The data will be analyzed with the help
of MS-Excel so that proper graphs and figures can be used to present the response of the
participants in a comprehensive manner.

Chapter 4
The data analysis has shown that the participants have taken part in the survey and have
provided their responses. The researcher had identified that most of the participants were of the
age between 24-37 years and most of the participants have an experience of minimum 0-3 years.
12 of the participants have stated that the think the factors of specifications and standards are the
major factors that will help in up streaming the SMC facilities of healthcare within India.
Another 15 participants have stated that delivering the factors on a timely manner will help the
supply chain in improving with respect to the healthcare facilities in India. Additionally, 25
participants feel that safety plays an important role in transferring the materials from one region
to another. Another 28 participants feel that misplacing the equipments related to medical
facilities is one of the major issues that need to be addressed within the supply chain in India.
Chapter 5
The research has helped in identifying the major factors that needs to be managed within
the supply chain of medical facilities in India. The researcher has also been able to analyze the
delivery of the medical facilities in a timely manner so that the supply chain can be effective
within India. The issues that are present in the SCM healthcare has been analyzed in an effective
manner and proper recommendations have been provided as well.
Dissertation Structure
Chapter 1 will deal with the background and the purpose for which the research is being
conducted. The objectives and the questions have been framed within the research so that the
analysis can be done in an effective manner. This will help the researcher in conducting the study
in a proper manner.

Chapter 4 will deal contains the analysis and the interpretation of the dat by the
researcher that has been collected from the sample size. This data has been analyzed by the
researcher to provide a finite conclusion and recommendation.
Chapter 5 will deal with the conclusion and recommendation that will be provided by the
researcher after the entire research has been completed. The recommendations will help in
improving the services on which the research has been conducted.
