element in supply chain that enable providing product and services on time so that it will help in
fulfilling demands of consumers in the market. This aims at continuous improvement in
manufacturing process that help in providing better quality products in the market. There are
several methods that are included in supply chain planning as gathering data from different
sources, providing lean principles by increasing visibility and lastly maintaining standard while
manufacturing product in the company. It plays an important role in an organization that help in
boosting the best customer service, reducing operating cost and improving financial position of
company in the future (Meindl, 2016). Essay mainly emphasized on new product/ service

Glen field hospital is also known as Glen-field General Hospital that is situated in
Leicester city of United Kingdom. It is most famous hospital that specialize for coronary care
and respiratory diseases. This will be managed by University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
The main aim of this hospital is to protect women with various problems by offering and
providing the best treatment of their problems. This hospital is manufactured in different phases
that takes more time in building hospital for the future. Opening ceremony of the hospital is done
by Duchess of Kent in March 1986. Then in December a successful surgery was completed of a
baby girl that is having growing stomach externally (Wang and et. al., 2016). It is also having
centre in east Midlands that served 5 million people and doing treatment of 230 children and 70
adults in a year that closely focuses on surgical expertise in different location in United
Kingdom. It is also providing non-surgical treatment and diagnosis to its patients. In august 2012
it was carried out world's first percutaneous coronary intervention procedure on a two-year-old
child. This hospital is provided various range of services to its patients, including nationally
recognized medical care for heart disease, lung cancer and breast care. The hospital is also home

to a purpose built breast care centre where specialists help top women through diagnosis,
treatment and surgery and work alongside the plastic surgery team which has significant
expertise in breast reconstruction.
New product/service development and process.
New product or service development is an approach that emphasize on introducing new
product into the market. Its main aspect is to design new product that possess some different
features as compared to earlier quality of product into the market (Copacino, 2019). It includes
different activities such as refining, design, manufacturing, packaging and transportation.
Transformation is being done for the purpose of bringing changes in Glenfield hospital that aim
at providing best services to its customers. While implementing new services into hospital proper
market research is done that help in providing clear understanding of consumer needs and
demand. There are three main variables of service development that include cost, time and
quality. While providing services it is essential to note that it is provided to consumer on right

From the above study here address some recommendations for company to use those
steps in order to improve there new product and service development by using product life cycle.
This help to build effective and best product for growth of company. In case of hospital have to
use this theory for providing new and better services to customers.
On the other side, for better work they should use Leas theory for reduce wastage from
services process. This help in providing various perspective for hospital as by lean
manufacturing concept there is less waste that will be incurred in the hospital.
In addition to that, Tripple bottom Line company have to focus on aim in measuring all
these three dimensions that are included in this approach which is people, plant and profit. There
are several benefits that include reputation, recruitment, increased productivity and new bringing
potential market in the future.

From the above study it can be summarized that supply chain management plays an
important role in business for the purpose of bringing effectiveness and efficiency in working for
the future. This includes different elements such as just-in-time, lean manufacturing and supply
chain agility for bringing more opportunities in the future. New product development help in
