Introduction
The organizations use several procedure and structure for warehousing and transportation
management it is because this helps the organizations to increase customer’s satisfaction and
raise the productivity of the employees (Joto & Odock, 2019). Therefore, the present research
proposal focuses on understanding “The warehousing and transportation management in supply
chain, it is because not much of the study is conducted the software and strategies organizations
in Kenya adopt to gain competitive advantage and to satisfy the needs of the consumers.
Research Aims and Objectives
The research proposal demonstrates that the main aim of the objective is to investigate the
management of transportation and warehousing in the supply chain process. It is important to be
studied it is because this describe the policies which are effective and research will also helps in
understanding the issues which is faced by the Kenya organizations in managing the
transportation as well as warehousing. It is also important because through this enterprises in
Kenya also get the knowledge about the effects of this on overall productivity of the
organization. Therefore, to achieve the major purpose the additional objectives of the research is
developed-
 To examine the current policies used in “warehousing and transportation management in
Kenya organization”.
 To describe the issues faced by enterprises in Kenya for managing transportation as well
as warehousing.
 To understand “the relationship between warehousing and transportation management
and organizational profitability”.
Research Questions
 What are the strategies which by the companies in Kenya for warehousing and
transportation management?
 Describe the problems faced by Kenya organization for performing the logistics activities
in supply chain?

Data collection
The research proposal describes that while conducting the research I will gather the information
about the degree of profits and revenue earned by the Kenya organizations through effective
supply chain management. It is because by this I can dividend and describes the initiatives taken
by organizations so that transportation and warehousing activities is managed. The information
about the problem will be gather through examining the factors which affects the effective
supply chain managed. These all information is gathered it is because by this the objective of
conducting the research will be accomplished.
The information is accessed through gathering the information by adopting both primary and
secondary method that is secondary method will be used by collecting the information from
different author’s opinions about the subject matter. The primary method will be used because
information will also be gathered through taking the opinions of different employees which are
in the organizations of Kenya.
Subject area
The research proposal is related to the subject area of inventory management it is because this
describes the overall activities which organization adopt for managing the inventory so that
inventory is transferred to the final consumers in effective manner. The concept of supply chain
management is closely related with the inventory management area this is due to the reason
efficient stock management leads in reducing the cost of the organization (Fredrick & Patrick,
2019). It also supports the organization to understand the temperature and packaging which is
done so that inventories are delivered in effective manner (Rukiya & Kibet, 2019).
