Employing a questionnaire survey method with both primary and secondary research, the study gathers insights from managers, employees, and customers to analyze the hotel's strategies during the pandemic. The report examines the influence of sustainability on supply chain operations, identifies key issues faced by the hotel, and offers recommendations for improved practices. The literature review provides a comprehensive overview of supply chain management within the hospitality sector. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The main purpose of conducting the study on sustainability over supply chain
management during COVID 19 is to gain and develops the knowledge of core framework of
supply chain sustainability in hospitality industry. Sustainable supply chain management
represents as an integration of environmental and financial practices into completing supply
chain lifecycle. In hospitality industry, sustainability over supply chain that offers services are
very crucial as it helps in attracting customers. This report is based on sustainability over supply
chain management in The Queens Park Hotel during the time of COVID 19. To effectively
accomplish this research, The Queen Park hotel is to be undertakes that offers best services to
customers that are also sustainable in nature. To understand the knowledge appropriately,
investigator focus on research methodology that helps in choosing best approach and method for
getting effective knowledge over topic. In this researcher adopts questionnaire survey method
along with primary and secondary to get efficient knowledge regarding research. In this
investigator effectively communicate with number of respondents that are managers, employees,
customers so that prominent knowledge regarding specific topic would be enjoyed.

INTRODUCTION
The main aim of conducting this study is to analyze the results of sustainability over
supply chain management in pandemic situation of COVID 19. For hotels and other hospitality
sectors like resorts, bars, restaurants etc. sustainability in supply chain continuously save the
environment and attracts large base of customers. In terms of hospitality industry, supply chain
sustainability is a serious issue that affects highly affects supply chain network in terms of risk,
environment and waste cost (Sharma and et. al., 2020). On the same time sustainable supply
chain helps in holding the value creation opportunities that also offers significant competitive
advantage for the innovators related to processes or early adopters. To complete this research
report researcher undertakes The Queen Park Hotel that is a leading hotel in London, UK. It is a
privately owned hotel that is mainly suitable for families, leisure clients and businesses (The
Queens Park Hotel, 2021). In this there are around 19 employees who are working to provides
services to guest for attaining profitable results. This report involves several chapters that help in
providing essential knowledge on specific knowledge on particular topic that is sustainability
over supply chain management. These chapters includes research methodology, data and
findings, discussion of analysis all these helps in drawing conclusion effectively and
authentically. To acknowledge knowledge on sustainability over supply chain in Queen park
hotel, researcher adopts primary and secondary research. To conduct primary research
questionnaire survey will be used and for secondary research literature review will be adopted
that gives viable solutions to draw a recommendation for hotel so that high profitable results are
enjoyed in their long term survival.

This study is associated to solving the issues raised on sustainability over supply chain
management in hospitality industry during COVID 19. Indulging within this specific

investigation provides better outcomes to researcher by using the primary and secondary data
and information.

Rationale
The reason for conducting this dissertation is to identify the results of sustainability over
supply chain management during COVID 19 within hospitality industry. Therefore conducting
this research is quite useful for research as it improves investigator knowledge on a particular
topic (Sharma, Adhikary and Borah, 2020). This investigation is beneficial for researcher in
terms of personal and professional aspects. In aspect of personal terms this research will
develops the individual skills and knowledge such as time management skill, communication
skill, internet savvy skills, observation skill that helps directly in improving their professional
career. Researcher adopts this topic because this topic is based on personal interest due to which

they gathered and collect information easily and effectively so that viable conclusion would be
drawn at the end of research.
LITERATURE REVIEW
Literature review refers to a survey of scholarly sources that generate thematic
knowledge on specific topic of research. These scholarly sources are books, journals, articles etc.
that helps in generating information on particular topic (Dwivedi and et. al., 2020). To conduct
this particular research, researcher generates knowledge and information on sustainability over
supply chain management that helps in drawing conclusion at the end of this research. This
represents information based on author viewpoint that helps researcher to get viable results on
this particular research.
Basic framework of supply chain management within hospitality industry
According to the viewpoint of “Robert Handfield, (2021)” In current business
environment, organization is highly focus on delivering value to customers at a reasonable
possible price. Due to high focus on delivering value to customers interest within supply chain
management had been increased that also useful to improve return on investment along with
greater profitability. Supply chain management within hospitality industry linked with the flow
of goods and services that are highly valuable to customer and helps in connecting customers
with hotels for longer period of time. The supply chain management within hotel is associated
with several components such as the lean paradigm that focus on reducing non-value addition
activities along with minimizing waste. The Agile paradigm which is an effective component to
create an ability to respond rapidly towards any change that is useful to sustain within dynamic
environment for a longer period of time, The Green paradigm within hotel represents the
environmental performance that hospitality sector do to get sustainable results and for this they
mainly includes corporate social responsibility, carbon credits earned etc. All this component of
supply chain supports in managing several hospitality activities of supply chain management so
that organization will attain sustainable competitive advantage easily and effectively.
Influence of sustainability within supply chain management of Queens park hotel during situation
of COVID-19

As per the viewpoint of “Tom K, (2021)” Due to the pandemic situation of COVID 19,
supply chain management of hotel faces major issues related to supply of goods and services to
customers. At this time, sustainability in supply chain is an emerging solution for hospitality
industry to attract numbers of customers over their services so that high amount of profitable
results is enjoyed by firm. As sustainability in supply chain management helpful in dealing with
market within the situation of COVID 19 so that they easily aligned with the needs of market. In
hospitality sector department of operations are very vital to manage the functions of business in
appropriate manner. Sustainability in supply chain in hospitality industry helps in creating
awareness regarding economy, environmental and social impact so that necessary changes are
done effectively and efficiently. Sustainability in supply chain improves productivity of The
Queen Park Hotel while saving overall cost of business enterprise. Sustainability highly
influences supply chain to improve the quality of product even in pandemic situation that
enhances image of brand along with protecting environment that also build trust of customers
over hotel. Due to increment in sustainable practices within supply chain management reflects
innovation in creating new ways of tracking and supplying services and products to customers
that highly beneficial for The Queen Park Hotel during pandemic situation of COVID 19.
Issues faced by Queens park hotel in supply chain management during COVID-19
According to the viewpoint of “Singh and et. al., (2020)” there are several issues that was
faced by hospitality industry during the period of COVID 19. In this high interference of
government due to COVID 19 impact affects supply chain of hotel in negative manner because
due to this they need to focus on several policies and standards in supplying services to
customers that incurred huge cost. Another issue that was faced by The Queen Park Hotel in
their supply chain management is the high focused on sanitation that enhances overall cost for
hotels which affects their profit margin highly. Due to the major impact of COVID 19, supply
chain management of hospitality industry faces major risk in transporting and logistics along
with major shift in demands of customers. Due to high government rules and regulation hotel
supply chain operation cannot be done effectively and efficiently. In these way hotel faced
several issues in supply chain management in pandemic situation of COVID 19.

METHODOLOGY
Research methodology refers to a procedure that is adopted by researcher to identify,
process; analyze data and information on specific topic on which research is conducting. This
section helps investigator to critically evaluate study to generate viable and reliable information
(Nandi and et. al., 2020). To conduct this particular research, researcher used research onion that
is presented below that helps in selecting best method and approaches to complete this
dissertation:
Research philosophy- It is regarded as an effective aspect of research that gives
prominent outcome in gathering authentic information. It includes two types of research
philosophies that are interpretivism and positivism. Interpretivism philosophy is useful to gather
qualitative data in which positivism reflects quantitative data (Handfield, Graham and Burns,
2020). To conduct this research, investigator use positivism research philosophy to gather
quantitative information and data that helps in align information in prominent manner.
Research approaches- This aspect of research onion demonstrate an action plan which is
beneficial for researcher to complete the work effectively and proficiently. There are two types
of research approach such as deductive and inductive research approaches. Inductive approach is
used to collect qualitative data whereas deductive approach is used to collect quantitative
information (Schaltegger, 2020). For this research, investigator used deductive approach to
collect quantitative data as it provides authentic information based on specific topic of
sustainability over supply chain management so that viable research findings are represented in
appropriate manner.
Research strategies- It refers to that strategy which is used to conduct research in an
authentic and viable manner (Kumar, Raut and Narkhede, 2020). To conduct this research
researcher focused on choosing best and reliable method such as questionnaire, interviews etc. to
attain research objective and aim successfully and prominently. To conduct this investigation
researcher adopts questionnaire method that is based on different respondent perception so that
viable information is gathered and collected prominently.
Research choices- It is another type of research onion in which researcher choose the
way of collecting information in significant way. There are two types of research choice that is

quantitative and qualitative research choice (Bansal, Grewatsch and Sharma, 2020). To complete
this research researcher use the quantitative research choice so that viable and reliable
information is presented in order to achieve aims and objectives of this particular research. Due
to adopting this research choice investigator get impactful outcome and also helps in drawing
conclusion at the end of research.
Time Horizon- It is an effective aspect of research onion that classified the time limit
that is needed to complete the whole research on appropriate time frame in order to maintain
efficiency and authenticity within particular dissertation. This time horizon is based on two types
that cross sectional or longitudinal time horizon. To investigate this research, researcher adopts
the use of cross sectional time horizon to get productive results because it is quite useful in
completing investigation within set time frame.
Data collection- This aspect is defines as a manner in which researcher gather data to
attain information on particular research topic (Francis, 2020). It is based on two method of data
collection that is primary and secondary collection of data. In terms of secondary collection of
data researcher uses several articles, journals, books whereas to collect data by using primary
method of data collection researcher use questionnaire survey method that gives information in
numerical manner.
Sampling- It refers to that method in which needed part of respondents are selected out
of huge population that is represented as sampling. To collect the samples of respondent there are
two methods of collecting sample that are probability sampling and non-probability sampling. It
is an effective method for researcher because it helps researcher to perform their investigation in
an appropriate manner (Siebert, Brandenburg and Siebert, 2020). To conduct this research
researcher used probability sampling method where they collect respondents randomly that helps
in eliminating conflicts while choosing respondents from the number of respondents. In terms of
The Queen Park Hotel the respondents are managers, customers, employees.in which researcher
selects 30 respondents to gather information on specific topic.
MAIN BODY AND FINDINGS
Data presentation defines as activities of representing information and data in several
manners such as tables, charts, graphs etc. that helps in framing viable conclusion at the end of

particular research. To complete this research in an appropriate manner investigator adopts the
use of frequency table along with bar charts to demonstrate the findings in attractive manner. The
frequency table and bar graphs helps other members who are involved and connected with this
research to understand the knowledge and information properly (Pardo and Ladeiras, 2020). To
current research thematic analysis is adopted where number of themes is presented to analyze
data effectively. To properly prepare graphs researcher used MS Excel that easily represents bar
graphs so that valid and reliable conclusion is drawn at the end of this dissertation.
