Alzheimer’s and bereavement is concerned. This type of services provided properly by health
and social care units helps them in managing their significant life events in a better manner and
allow them to enhance their standard of living.
TASK 2
2.1. Evaluation of the effectiveness of organisational policies and procedures in supporting
individuals and their social networks affected by significant life events
It is very important for Healthcare firms to make modifications in the current working
structure and patient services on regular basis so that needs of patients can be fulfilled by
organisation accordingly. In addition to this, it is also very important for these firms to provide
adequate and effective services to patients so that they will be recover from sufferings in quick
manner. Furthermore, policies or strategies should also formed by these organisations because it
will help the care users in recovering from their specific diseases in effective manner. Several
life events like Alzheimer’s which needs immense medical attention because it become worse as
per the passed time. Hence, organisational policies and procedures should be formed effectively
by healthcare firms because it will be prove supportive for patients in recovering form the
medical diseases (Gutierrez, 2012).
As per my opinions, NHS is a healthcare organisation who having several experienced
medical practitioners that can support the care users in recovering from the Alzheimers and other

harmful diseases. In addition, this organisation have formed several policies and procedures so
that effective support can be provided to patients in recovering from harmful diseases.
Policies: Health and Safety Policy, 2017: This policy has made by NHS so as to removing
inequalities from the healthcare services. In addition to this, firm is also focusing on
improving health management systems so that healthcare services can be provided to the
care users in effective manner.
Confidentiality Policy: It is an another effective policy that is framed by NHS for
supporting individuals in experiencing significant life events is confidentiality policy.
This aims at safeguarding crucial and sensitive information about patients or care users
without disclosing it to third party or consent of patients. To maintain this within the
workplace, it is very important for the firm to make effective security systems at
workplace so that unauthorised access by anyone can't be done at workplace. This will be
increase effectiveness in supporting the care users who are suffering from diseases
(Hareven, 2013).
Procedures: Maintenance of Diagnosis Rate: Organisation have also made procedures for supporting
the individuals who are suffering from dementia disease. For this, firm have took an
initiative for maintaining appropriate diagnosis from which they have identified that two
thirds of population is suffering from diseases that must be diagnosed effectively.
Post Diagnostic Care: It is an another procedure which is formed by NHS for supporting
the individuals who are experiencing significant life events like dementia is a critical
disease that requires proper diagnosis. For this, NHS have made care plans and provided
to their practitioners so that good care services can be provided to the patients effectively.
2.2. Explanation of how others in social networks may provide support to individuals
experiencing significant life events
According to my opinion, there are several social network systems that can provide
effective support the individuals in recovering from significant life events like dementia or
insomnia. In social networks, these group assist in providing effective support to the patients or
care users. Furthermore, these methods also comprises several techniques and systems so that
issues of individuals can be resolved in effective manner which leads the recovering in patients
4

from harmful diseases. Main reason behind this support is to regulating the activities of
individuals who are suffering from such events so that effective health care can be provided to
them. Support of these groups is given as below: Physical Support: Social networking systems are quite beneficial as through this
Healthcare firm such as NHS can formulate effective strategies that can helps the patients
in recovering from diseases such as Alzheimers and Bereavement. With the help of these
systems, medical practitioners in NHS can provide physical support to these individuals
so that their daily routine can be improved effectively. Furthermore, meditation is an
effective method that can be used by these practitioners for helping needy patients as it
will helps them in overcoming the affect of Alzheimers and Bereavement (Loeffler,
2013). Psychological Support: Bereavement or Insomnia is a harmful disease that needs
effective counselling of the patients who are suffering from such diseases. In case of
Dementia, psychological assistance should be provided by these social groups to these
patients so that they will be able in recovering in quick manner.
Spiritual Support: It is solely related with optimism or spiritualism in which meditation
and other relief services are provided to the patients from medical practitioners through
taking support of social groups which automatically leads recovering atmosphere in their
surrounding.
As per my views it is very essential for patients who are suffering from significant events
like dementia or Insomnia to provide utmost care and support to them so that they will be able in
recovering from such diseases effectively. In addition to this, such kind of support will be
beneficial for patients in recovering from harmful diseases (Luhmann and et. al., 2012).
2.3. Evaluation of suitability of external sources of support for those affected by significant life
events
As per my opinion, external sources assist the patients for coping from life events by
counselling them in effective manner. Furthermore, another purpose of external sources is to
identifying the difficulties which are facing by the patients during treatment. With the help of it,
effective solutions such as mental illness, recovering therapies etc. will be provided to the
patients that will provide support to the individuals in recovering from harmful diseases.

Training: Healthcare organisation such as NHS should provide effective training to their
medical practitioners so that they will be able in providing better treatment to the patients
within the hospital. Diseases like Insomnia, Bereavement and Dementia requires a
specific qualification in psychology and training before treatment of patients who having
such diseases. Because without these medical practitioners in NHS wouldn't be able in
providing treatment accordingly therefore, training is highly required for handling these
kind of situations (Parkes and Prigerson, 2013).
Give-and-Take Treatments: It is also very important for the medical practitioners in
NHS to adopt some effective treatments in their current medical practices such as
mesotherapy and Homeopathy. This will be prove beneficial for the individuals who
having such diseases in gaining more energy which will be helpful for them in removing
laziness from their daily life. Furthermore, it is also very important to provide support the
individuals or patients in coping up and recovering from significant life events. Scope of
treatment will enables the patients in dealing with challenges or issues which are
occurred in treatments.
TASK 3
3.1. Analysis of possible organisational responses to the need to support individuals experiencing
a significant life events
Each healthcare organisation have duty to effectively respond for the need and
requirements of individuals who are suffering from harmful diseases. For example, it is very
important for the NHS to develop some effective strategies and methods to tend to needs of
patients. Some of these responses are given as below:
First response which must be given by NHS is to train and improve healthcare
professionals so as to provide an effective treatment to their patients.
Another response which should be given by NHS is to analyse each complex situations
which enable managers to make immediate actions to facilitate its users with an effective
healthcare services (Powell and Bui, 2016).
The another response which must be provided by NHS is to develop tactics and strategies
with patients with significant life events in order to deal with the complex situations. It

assist them to provide an appropriate actions in order to support services, daily needs of
treatment and assurance of patients remaining quite comfortable.
3.2 Reflection on personal contributions to the support of individuals experiencing significant
life event
During my teenage I have experienced that every individual move through several
diseases and year by year they adopt nee one because they are getting older and changes takes
place in one's life which make the living of each person quite complex. I have observed that
young people usually try to control their emotions but sometimes they also get failed in this. In
this regard associated groups support others in having control over their emotions as well as
sentiments by providing them proper care and support. There are number of indications which
develop the anxiety among people and let them in tough situations at that time they search for
campaigns that can help them in relocating past bothered them. The number of issues that youth
usually faces includes frightening, abandoned socially, create anxiety among them due to not
able of fixing their children within school. Demise can result in anything like either the loss of
life or any other loss that are explained above that may have negative impact over an individual's
life and for overcoming such issues a person requires help from associated group or social
system. Therefore, it is very essential to focus over specific need of such people to determine
kind of help they required. Usually people want be able to prioritise among their loved ones and
relatives upfront and I as a part of such association asked for such support but instructors could
not bring such changes in system. For example: Impact can be majorly of maintaining a
reputation of passed away people with their children's and some important dates like birthdays
and anniversary.
3.3 Recommendations for improving the support available in a health and social care
organisation
For providing better health and social care treatment to an individual it is very essential
for NHS to ensure that patients may have fair treatment and get friendly environment so that they
can live freely. Despite of this there are some other recommendations that can be consider by
NHS to provide better results and these are mentioned below:-
Integration and agreement:- Integration must be performed by NHS with other
associations as well as groups in order to improve the nature of taking care and avoiding
the unnecessary expenditures. It help in ensuring smooth flow of finance and procedures

as per mentioned in the norms of region influences the association's understanding and
settlement regarding several issues.
Long-established practice:- A long established practice involve following of rules that
are formed for nursing homes and implement several strategies that are not much
advanced for taking care of patients. As these nursing homes are known for dealing with
wound or diseases of patients that mainly focuses toward improving health and nursing
care on British confirmation.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it has been concluded that significant life events are very
important and that should be considered by the patients effectively. It is also very crucial to
identify the impacts of these events on the individuals which will be helpful in developing
appropriate strategies for overcoming the impact of these events. Furthermore, impact of same
life events and response of other members are necessary for taking so that proper healthcare can
be provided to these individuals. Evaluation of these events are also significant for the healthcare
organisations because it helps them in providing healthcare services to the patients accordingly.
Additionally, it is also very important to analysing external sources effectively so that negative
impacts of life events can be overcome from the daily life of patients. Recommendations and
suggestions in own words are also important because it supports the healthcare firms in
improving healthcare services which are provided by them to the patients as a support who are
suffering from significant life events.
