Introduction
The title of the journal paper is environmentally sustainable mining: The case of
tailings storage facilities which is based on sustainable mining and the authors
highlighted a case of tailings storage facilities.
Critical review
Summary of the paper
This paper was written by Erica Schoenberger in the year 2016 and the aim of
this paper is to describe the fundamental idea of sustainable mining. In this research
paper, the author critically reviewed a case of tailings storage facilities (Schoenberger,
2016). According to the author, term mining is defined as the unavoidably
environmentally disruptive which is used to mine the data and facts related to
sustainability. Mainly, this research paper addressed the query of whether mining can
be performed in a process which involves environmental factors.
Evaluation of the text
It is identified that the investigators highlighted a case of tailings storage
facilities which is completely related to the mining and disasters. There are various
methods used by the authors for example mixed research design, secondary data
collection method and descriptive content analysis for analysing obtaining data. The
authors identified that designing and developing a process of TSFs is a very common
challenging task for companies. The strength of this paper is that the author delivered a
detailed examination of the research topic but it did not explain drawbacks of
sustainable mining.
Conclusion
From this paper, it is concluded that social scientific analysis of engineered plans
should focus on engineering and sustainable mining. This paper critically reviewed the
environmentally sustainable mining process along with potential challenges faced by
consumers.

Introduction
The title of this paper is Corporate Social Responsibilities: Alternative
Perspectives About the Need to Legislate which was written by Craig and Marita in the
year 2013. This paper evaluated the concept of corporate social responsibilities.
Critical review
Summary of the paper
The objective of this study is to examine the aspects of corporate social
responsibilities and evaluate their importance in legislating and companies. According
to the authors, support of government is very important for an organization in order to
achieve sustainable development. In order to improve the effectiveness of the study, the
authors reviewed 2005/06 Australian government review in relation to CSR (Deegan, &
Shelly, 2014).
Evaluation of the text
This research paper mainly focused on the key features of corporate social
responsibilities and also included the Australia government for better understanding of
the research topic. After examining the paper it has analysed that the organizations
always errand an anti-regulation process where corporation must be focused on the
suppleness in order to find their communal errands. There are several research
methods used by the authors such as qualitative research design, secondary data
collection and content analysis method. There are several advantages of this study such
as critically studied CSR, provided complete information, reduced gaps of previous
papers and so on. The authors did not evaluate the advantages and limitations of CSR
which create a gap in the research.
Conclusion
After analysing the paper, it is concluded that there is no need to involve extra
legislation and corporate social responsibility of an organization can be determined by
using the anti-regulation process.

Introduction
The title of the paper is Environmental incidents in a developing country and
corporate environmental disclosures which were written by Muhammad Azizual and
aminul in the year 2011. This paper is mainly based on the environmental incidents
linked with the corporate environmental disclosures.
Critical review
Summary of the paper
The purpose of the study is to define the environmental disclosure initiatives of
Niko resources limited and other companies. According to the author, the community
and ecological key factors affect revelation nature of communities within the setting of
produced republics. In this paper, the researcher critically reviewed the environmental
incidents occurred in Bangladesh and focused on the Niko’s disclosure policies or
strategies (Azizul Islam, & Aminul Islam, 2011).
Evaluation of the text
After critically reviewing the research paper it has found that Niko did not
deliver any non-financial material inside its yearly intelligences. There are several
research techniques used while leading the investigation which includes qualitative
research design, annual reports published on Niko’s environmental incidents, primary
and secondary data collection and statistical analysis method. It is also argued that
Niko’s non-financial disclosure was directly linked with the public pressures which are
determined by media. After examining the research it is recognized that the authors
reviewed the research topic and achieved aims and objectives of the research. But, the
researcher did not provide much information about environmental disclosure and did
not recommend any real attempt to understand the environmental incidents in the
developed countries.
Conclusion
After analysing the paper, it is concluded that Niko’s reports and data files did
not deliver any facts about the problems of local companies which are affected through
blowouts. This journal article described a relationship amid Niko environmental in
Bangladesh and its environmental revelation to the events.
