standards-- standard 3.1 which focuses on design of the service facilities and standard 3.2 which focuses
on use of the service facilities (Acecqa.gov.au, 2018). The design standard ensures that the facilities are
appropriate for childcare services . The standard also ensures that the premises, the furniture and the
equipments are clean. The design standard (standard 3.2) gives importance on using the service care
facility in the right manner (Acecqa.gov.au, 2018). The standard 3.2 also focuses on enabling the
children to grow in environmentally responsible manner.

service by introducing environmental sustainability program in care service by encouraging children to
participate in waste disposal and recycling process. The container and boxes by painting and decorating
them with beautiful stickers can be reused to keep books and toys. The sustainable practice aims to
provide a safer and cleaner environment for the children. According to the Quality Improvement
Program (QIP) the environment sustainability programmes enhances locomotor skills, body
management process and help in child development. The sustainability standards also include the
selection of tools and furniture in environmental for cleaner and safer settings.
The play can be used for serving different developmental needs for the children. Firstly, the play session
can be used for investigating things and showing new ideas. The children can be involved to the art and
craft based play so that they can reflect their innovative thoughts with others. The children can also be
involved to the gardening activities in group. Working in group can develop the problem solving skills
and the social skills among the children. Taking part into the gardening can help them to understand the
relationship between different elements of nature including the plant, people and the land.
