Introduction:
The Global Personal Marketplace (GPM) is planning to use ICT system that aims to
bring together small and private individual companies to purchase and sell all type of relevant
items through a web based marketplace. For performing the operations the GPM will be
using internet services to drastically improve the way of selling and buying items. For
executing ICT project perfectly sustainability need to be incorporated within the project.
Thus in this project sustainability will be incorporated to the above discussed ICT project.
Also, strategies will be formulated for incorporating the sustainability to the above discussed
ICT project.
Incorporating Sustainability into planning and design stage of ICT project:
Suitable ICT Project:
A normal ICT project need to satisfy some criteria to become a sustainable project.
Those criteria are the environment sustainability, social sustainability and the economic
sustainability1. Thus to make the Global Personal Market project a sustainable project these
criteria need to be satisfied. So that a suitable ICT project in this case will be developed for
the GPM. As this project is related with an online marketplace, for this project an energy
audit will be prepared. Also, for this project, energy efficient software and power
management software will be developed to satisfy the economic sustainability. E-wastages
will be also reduced in this project to support the social sustainability2. Renewable energy
sources will be used for this project to support the environmental sustainability.

Establishment of extent to which sustainability will be integrated:
Stakeholders has been negotiated and it has been determined that the sustainability
which need to be integrated within the Global Personal Marketplace projects are the
environmental sustainability, economic sustainability and social sustainability. In this case for
achieving this sustainability some activities will be done which has been discussed properly
with the stakeholders and active cooperation is also needed from the stakeholder. These
activities include energy audit production, implementation of the power management
software, reduction of e-wastages, pilot project implementation, implementation of energy
efficient architectures and using hardware that uses low power. Renewable energy sources
also need to be used for establishing the extent of sustainability to the project.
Suitable technology solution for Global Personal Marketplace project:
This project of the GPM has been analysed successfully and it has been determined
that the important technologies which are required for the project of Global Personal
Marketplace are the web servers, browsers, server software, web authoring tools, database
systems, networking protocols and domain names3. Each of these technologies plays an
important role within this project. Web servers are important as this provide useful data to the
buyers and act as an active communication medium between the buyers and sellers. Browser
are important in this case to access the web servers. Web server software manages the
hardware of the server and it controls the whole hardware system. Database systems collects
and store all the data regarding the online environment between the buyer and the seller4. The
networking protocol defines how the computers will be connected to each other and how they
will be sharing information between them. Domain names are important for accessing the

online webpage or the online environment that will be used for the selling and buying the
products between buyer and seller.

Strategy Formulation for Incorporating the Sustainability:
Reduction of Power Consumption:
The short-term technologies for reducing the power consumption will be decided by
evaluating each of the green technologies for the ICT and the most appropriate one will be
selected for the project. This short-term technology will be implemented within this project
by using the technology roadmap5. This implementation process will take three steps.
Sustainable Management Principles:
Sustainable management principles can be initiated within this project and for that
first of all sustainability of the current project will be assessed6. In the second step a
sustainable strategy will be developed for the project. After that sustainability standard will
be adopted within the project. In the movement stage of the sustainability partners and the

vendors will be identified. Also, for moving of the sustainable management principles
communication is also a big factor. By the communication sustainability can be spread over
the whole project.
Establishing and Improving KPIs:
First of all for effective establishment of the key performance indicators (KPI)
evaluation of the existing performance of the project is needed. Also, right measurement
methodology will be implemented for perfectly identifying the KPIs for the GPM project. It
will be regularly monitored by a process monitoring application. Detailed analysis will be
done after a certain period of time of the KPI’s to bring improvements within it7. Also,
consistent data need to be provided so that perfect improvement can be done for the KPIs.
Incorporation of Innovating Planning and Design Rules:
Innovation planning and design rules will be incorporated within the project by the
creative thinking methods which will fit the project concept will be used for to incorporate
the innovating planning. Cultural support is also needed for incorporation of innovating
planning which will be used in this case8. Design rules will be incorporated by proper
methodology identification for the project.
Conclusion:
From the above discussion it can be concluded that Global Personal Marketplace can
achieve sustainability in their initiated project by following the principles of sustainability
within the project. In this report suitable ICT projects is estimated that can be integrated for
the Global Personal Management. In this report extents has been also developed for the
Global Personal Management project. Suitable technology solutions has been also analysed

and detected for the current initiated project. For achieving a perfect sustainability low power
usage is very much important and to achieve that power consumption data of the ICT
components has been collected and audited perfectly. In the further discussion of this report,
strategies has been formulated for incorporating the sustainability to the ICT project of GPM.
