1. Business has a broader side when it comes to research. This is because, in the business
sector, there are numerous opportunities that can be explored with the help of
technologies (Gray, 2019). As in the area of interest, I think, that the “Sustainable
Development and Resource Management” is one search area which can be developed.
In the contemporary era where we are living, there is huge crisis of the natural
resources. For developing a business, a huge amount of natural resource have to be
depleted, forests have to be cleared for building to-be developed for business purposes.
After its establishment, it have to be equipped with technology. Majority of the
technology works on electricity and fuel resources which are non-renewable source of
energy. In order to save them from being utilized completely, sustainable sources of
energy must be used. This is because sustainable energy are found in abundance, and
produces less environmental pollution. Unlike the non-renewable sources of energy, they
can be reused. The technology like solar energy, hydroelectric power supply or wind
energy can act as one of the greatest sources of energy for fulfilling the purpose of
technological needs in the business organization. Resource management, however, can
help in making a business profitable and more efficient. With the help of the resource
management, the ways in which the sustainable development can be implemented in the
business can be obtained which helps in enhancing the business process further. Hence, it
is important to conduct a research in this area.
2. The doctoral program has been chosen in the Business as it helps developing skills
regarding the technologies that are used or can be used for the enhancing the process of
business management and administration. Not only that, pursuing a doctoral program
helps in learning new ways in which a subject matter can be analysed. In fact, the

opportunity to grow further in terms of knowledge and career can be achieved with the
help of the doctorate degree in business administration. One can stand out in the crowd
after obtaining a doctor’s degree in business all with their own capabilities. Apart from
this, there is high chance of getting recruited with a great salary package in an esteem
institution will be much easier.
University of the Cumberlands, situated in Williamsburg, is a private Christian
university in Kentucky. Founded by the Baptist in the year 1988, it is one of the finest
university in Kentucky in terms of educational research (Logue et al., 2019). The
university offers 40 Majors in Undergraduate studies and 8 Focus areas in the graduate
program. The mission and vision of the university is to provide, quality of education in an
affordable price. Moreover, it provides, a wide range of educational factors which helps
in choosing the combination of subjects of one’s choice. Thus the university is chosen for
the purpose of education in the doctoral program in business.
3. My main weakness includes shyness and being introvert. I am not comfortable in opening
up to the people who I do not know. This is one of the reason which can hamper the
entire process collecting data for analysis while conducting a thesis on a subject matter.
One of the other thing which is I think is one of my weakness, self-criticism. I tend to
evaluate myself on the basis of the actions which I perform. This reduces my work
efficiency. I become very conscious of what I am doing all the time. This makes me
insecure as well. The impact of my weakness on my research is that, it can be a hindrance
in the process of growth and development (Salani, Albuja & Azaiza, 2016).
As I am a self-critic, I look for perfection everywhere. Even a small change in the
value bothers me. Not only that, I think that too much perfection leads to unnecessary

complications in the system ultimately leading to frustration. This is very unhealthy for a
research worker pursuing a doctoral program in the business education.
4. The rate at which the business practises are taking turn, it won’t be far when the entire
business will be taken over by the technologies. The technology have made unbelieving
improvement in the business sector. The development of the supply chain management
have reduced the leverage which was initially put in for the business. The decisions can
be predicted and orders can be delivered automatically without human association at all
(Hair Jr, Page & Brunsveld, 2019).
After pursuing a degree from the University of Cumberlands, I would like to be
working as a Market Analyst and develop my skills further in the business sector. I would
like to be further develop my knowledge in the business administration such that I can
benefit the people somehow or the other.
