INTRODUCTION
Climate change can be defining as increase in temperature and weather patterns as well as it
threatens people with food and scarcity, increase in flooding and economic loss. Due to drastic
change in climate people are migrating and it is creating conflicts (Nordhaus, 2019). Although it
major problem in long term world and it need to be control so that its negative impact can be
reduce. The primary reason for climate change is greenhouse effects and human activities
through industrialization. Business has become of climate change as for satisfying the needs and
wants of customer it tends to realise the carbon emission while producing goods and services.
The present report will discuss about climate change and its impact on business as well as ways
through which organization can reduce their carbon foot prints.
MAIN BODY
Climate change is a threat to international security and policymaker and the public need to
understand that changes in climate has been creating threats as well as direct effects of change
are melting glaciers, rising level of sea, thawing perm afro and hotter heat waves. This effect is
also dangerous for human beings like fishery collapses, crop failure, water insecurity that has
lead in mass migration. Although climate is not just environmental issues but it is also impact on
business around the world and it will continue to have that impact (Rolnick and et.al., 2022).
Some of the ways in which climate can impact organization such as increased risk due to
extreme weather and it include storms, flood, drought and heat waves as well as it leads in
extreme financial and physical damage. Thus, due to increased risk the insurance cost of many
companies will rise as well. Moreover, the extreme weather events disrupt supply chain that lead
in getting the material and resources for business more challenging. In addition to this, due to
change in weather pattern it may cause a shortage of crops used for food and other products.
Furthermore, rising electricity and transportation expenses also increase the cost of moving
goods as well as regulatory restriction on goods linked to climate change and also increase cost.
Thus, scarcity on resources could will drive companies to make use alternative material and
recycle more waste (Malhi and et.al., 2020). Moreover, due to change in climate there has been
shift in demand such as demand for heating oil will decline as well as demand for other winter
goods. After pandemic most of the customers are prioritizing sustainability in the products they
buy and demand has been shifting towards environmentally goods. The change in climate has

made the working condition harsher for thaw worker as most of the job require physical labour
and becoming more challenging as well as health risk in the industry will rise as well as increase
the costs in company.
Furthermore, there has been change in regulation that aimed at mitigating and preventing
pollution which is also significantly impact on business. Although the organization that produce
high levels of emission and it need to invest in funding that need to upgrade their facilities to
reduce, capture or eliminate them (Hornsey and Fielding, 2020). Moreover, energy companies
are shifting their power to produce cleaner resources. There has been program like potential cap
that may have substantial impact on the economy and under this system organization need to set
level of emission. In addition to this, there has been increased in public pressure like consumer
are buying product that are of substantial nature due to climate change.
So in order to sustain business are trying to produce product that are environmental
friendly and large companies like IKEA, SWISS and Apple are committed towards renewable
energy (Fawzy and Rooney, 2020). Moreover, business can prepare from climate change it just
has to conduct analysis how the environment will be impacted and what are the potential risk it
can face. It is to be suggested that companies should find alternative source like renewable
energy like solar, wind and biomass. Although business can make use of this information in
order to manage environment system as well as to improve their performance. Thus, in order to
succeed in climate change firm has to adapt with it.
Furthermore, in order to reduce carbon foot prints there are some step that can be fulfilled by
company such as measure and analyse Greenhouse Gas Emissions. The first step of company
that wants to reduce pollution impact on environment has to measure GHG as it will help them I
identifying activities which are increasing pollutants. Thus, after analysing companies have to
find solution for reducing emissions (Jansson and Hofmockel, 2020). In addition to this, business
has to reduce energy consumption and that can be done by turning off the lights and lowering the
heating or air conditioning as well as taking off the plugs when not in use. Companies should pay
attention to their daily routine and business can slightly reduce their energy consumption and
impact on the climate. In addition to this, organization can optimize employee’s transportation
such as subordinates living closely can be offer discount on public transportation that will lead in
reducing the indirect impact on climate change. Most of the organization nowadays follow CSR
activities so that it can promote environmental practices and develop society.

global warming and due to that there has been negative impact on life of humans and business.
Most of the industries has been facing challenge such as change in taste and preferences of
customer and to meet up with those expectations it has to make use of innovative ideas.
Although it has to take precaution for the employees while working that require lot of expenses.
It has been found that agricultural business is most affected by cyclone and flood and due to that
insurance cost increased. Moreover, the study has also summarized that business has to follow
some steps to reduce their carbon foot prints like making use of CSR activities and alternative
resources for generating energy like wind mill or through water. In addition to this, organization
can also produce environmental products so that it can attract customer.
