1.2 Advantages and disadvantage of public/ private sector tourism planning.
The main objective of
partnership is to give public
benefits. Public benefits like
either related to assets or
related to a service. This
partnership is a long-term
contract. Several private firms
joined partnership and they
saved millions of dollars.
Return on investment of the
partnership firm might be
highly than the method of
traditional. It increases
efficiency because partnership
reduced delay on firm project.
This is done by time to time
completion. By increasing of
efficiency, it reduces costs as
well. There are many
advantages of partnership.
There are several
disadvantages of partnership as
well, like: - partnership
involves higher amount of risks
for private sector and
profitability depending on the
competitive level and
performance.
Partnership of public and
private companies in
tourism industry: - the form
of tourism industry can be in
franchises and also public
private partnership.
Partnership of private and
public sector is a very
concern part for tourism
industry.
They have been hesitant in
collaborate the both sectors
because of competitive
market. In every year, public
and private company should
have sent IT returns to
tourism department because
on the basis of this return
developer pays tax (income
tax) from their profit.
By this collaboration, it is the
best development of tourism.
A greater role can be played by
private sector in preservation
of all the heritage in India. It is
easy to maintain tourism
industry itself in the
competitive market.
It reduces expenditure of risk
management department
because of proper allocation.
It helps in more effective
management of public
resources.
Disadvantages: -
Delivery of service and
infrastructure could be highly
expensive. Procedure is costly
and longer comparison with
traditional approach.
These projects are long termed
projects, inflexible and
complex because evaluation of
all activities and events cannot
be done.

allocation and implementation of resources, integration of societies of the nation. Moreover,
planning for development of tourism in Qatar mainly concentrates on four important levels such
as international, national, regional and sub regional plans.
International: This level in tourist planning contains various features such as effective
flow of programming for tour and visitors from different nations. Moreover, planning of
tourism related to Qatar mainly concentrates on various services of transportation within
nation. Along with this, planning also focused on major tour programmes as well as
number of visitors from the other countries (Lee, 2013). It includes the marketing
strategies along with the promotional campaign which are applied to influence and attract
the large population of visitors from different countries towards the Qatar.
National: At this level, planning of QTA for tourism mainly emphasize on tourism
physical structure and important policies of Qatar. It is used to create plans to link
important directions of country along with regions (Niedziółka, 2014). Moreover,
development of tourism organisational structure, laws and policies of investments for the
destination are also analysed as essential phases of planning at national level.
Regional: There are various important business planning have been conducted at regional
level to promote the community towards achievement of growth and development in
tourism sector. At this, tourism planning mainly focus on the regional strategies or
policies, different attractive destinations, network of international transportation,

process which includes some changes and new innovations associated with changes. In
