Sustainable tourism has become is not only beneficial for the environment but also
has many economic advantages like generating employment opportunities for the
local residents, overall tourism of a destination etc. Organization chosen for this
presentation is TUI, which an international sustainable tourism organization which
was founded in the year 1965. The company is headquartered in London, United
Kingdom. The presentation compares the outcomes of different sustainable tourism
strategies in emerging as well as established tourist destination.

Outcomes of sustainable tourism strategies
Valencia is one of the emerging tourism destinations that is considered as a
green city because there is no intense traffic and the tourists are supposed to
explore the places on a bike, which is a great initiative so as to reduce the
amount of carbon footprints in the environment. Also, there are restrictions
on heavy traffic so that people are encouraged to leave their cars and walk
around to explore the place.

Apart from this, the destination has various natural spaces wherein the
tourists can escape the hustle and bustle of the city and relax with their
family members or partners. Talking about restaurants, Valencia has
more of local restaurants that offer vegan and an organic cuisine. This
shows support and commitment not only towards the local community
but the environment as well.

that attracts people in large people every year. Due to the number of people
visiting the place increasing every year, the government as well as various
tourism organizations have adopted strategies that are sustainable and do not
cause any major harm to the environment. These organizations promote
travel during off-peak periods and encouraging people to explore more of the
destination during this time.

Conclusion
From the presentation, it can be concluded that adopting sustainable tourism
strategies can contribute towards protecting the environment from any kind of
harm and also maintaining the level of tourism each year. Thus, the concept
of sustainable development should be adopted by all organizations operating
in the travel and tourism industry all over the world.
