Introduction
The sustainable tourism delivers the concepts at the time of visiting the location as the tourist and
helps to implement a positive impact on the economy, society as well as environment. The
tourism sectors is widely blooming industry and depends as the maximum source of income in
many countries. The given case study includes with sustainable tourism in the Philippine tourism
sectors which has been introduced by the President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. This could help to
economic conditions in the country of Philippine. The main purpose of this assignment includes
with the proper way of planning to develop the travel and tourism sectors.

P 1.1 Describe the benefits of stakeholders from planning of tourism developments on
reference to Philippines case study
The stakeholders provide the maximum benefits at the time of planning in the development of
tourism. The stakeholders provides the unique advantage in the development of better decision
process and helps to increase the economic conditions in the particular country. The tourism
sectors provides the unique ideas in the development of socio-cultural effects, environmtal and
economic areas at the time of effecting the destination. The entire planning process needs to
focused on the implementation of better decision at the time of development that provides the
better destination for the tourist. In the travel and tourism there includes with the decision taken
process by the stakeholders to increase the productivity. It helps in short as well as the long term
process and implements a better decision. This decision plays the major role in the development
of infrastructure and investments carried out by the tourism sectors. In this case, Philippine
tourism sector has focused to select certain location and provide the sustainability to develop the
entire place. The stakeholders deliver the benefits on the income opportunity and increased
employment. In the region of Filipinos, the rural as well as the coastal region could be improved
through the opportunity provided by the existing internal stakeholders in the country of
Philippine (Afifi, 2015).

The Philippine tourism sectors has plan properly in the private as well as in the public sectors
drawing the advantage and disadvantage. In the private sectors tourism planning, there includes
certain examples of the hotels, BNB, tour operators, take away and restaurants. The public
sectors includes with certain examples that includes with the railway, bus, airlines, museum,
parks and tourist information systems. The tourist information systems includes with the
partnership in the public as well as the private sectors. The public private tourism includes with
the process that helps to improve the tourism sectors by better planning and implements a
decision on the gathering of both areas idea. This ideas helps to formulate with the decision
taking capacity by both public as well as private sectors. The public sectors are more concerned
about the effective provision of services among the tourist at the time of visiting the country of
Philippines. It reduces the chances of land conflicts that might arise at the development of policy.
The private sectors are focused about earning the maximum amount of profit from the tourist.
The partnership existing between public and private sectors provides the unique benefits to
provide a better destination place for the tourist (Boluk et al. 2017).

The tourism development planning provides the various types of planning in the various level of
tourism sectors in the country of Philippines. The planning process includes with the short-term
planning which lies with the local form of planning, medium term that includes with the national
way of planning and long-term that lies with the regional as well as international planning
process. Philippines tourism sectors needs to focus on the main four level for the development of
tourism. These are followed as:
i. International level
The international level helps in the planning process that involves with more than one country. It
lies with the service, which is included in the international level of transportation used by the
tourist. The international level service provides the unique planning process in the marketing
department at the time of caring out of joint tourism. It provides the regional tourism with the
followed standards and policy to enhance a better service for the tourist. There lies with the
concerned about the cooperation held between sectors members in different country (Cotterell et
al. 2015).

for the tourist. It is generally carried out in the states, provinces and prefectures that are involved

facilities are provided in the regional level that enhances a better service through the
enhancement of network in transportation and develops a better functions in the regional level.
iii. National level
The national level helps to implements planning of tourism regarding the followed standards and
policy. The national level helps to provide the exact structure at the time of planning of

provide the better service considering the national levels. The national level provides the major
attraction of tourism in the entire areas. The marketing as well the training and education tourism

The local level of planning of tourism provides the process that are used in the local areas to
implement the better services upon the tourist at the time of visiting. The Philippines provides
the unique way of service through the better decision making capacity by the local tourism sector
provider. From the help of President of the country, the entire planning is improving to enhance a
betters service among the visitors through sustainable tourism (Prideaux, 2013).

measures it properly. These three models are followed as:
i. STEAM
The STEAM process provides the unique ideas to measure the entire tourism sectors. It is
involved with the proper steps in the planning process which are involved with satarborough,
tourism, economic, activity and monitoring. These steps provides the unique planning in the
growth of tourism sectors through STEAM models. The main examples of STEAM model of
tourism includes with the entire monitoring process that involves the growth of tourism sectors in
the country of Philippines and helps to attract maximum number of tourist. The economic growth
also takes place from the STEAM models by enhancement of better planning process that helps
the country of Philippines in the development of tourism sectors. It provides the description on
the qualitative as well as in the quantitative areas (Roe et al. 2014).
ii. PPP
The PPP stands for Pro Poor Project, which includes with the qualitative process. The qualitative
research provides the development of tourism through the implementation of various ideas in the
planning process. The PPP models provides the unique areas in the entire monitoring process
through the enhancement of services for the visitors (Font, 2017).
