Sustainable tourism can be defined as the tourism that
creates a balance between the environment, economy and
socio-cultural aspect of the host nation. It plays a major role
in preventing the biodiversity and attempts to reduce the
burden on the environment. The local culture and traditions
are retained so as to have authenticity in tourism.
Sustainable tourism generates income, employment and
conserves the natural habitat and ecosystem (Stephenson
and Ali-Knight, 2010).
