This report will analyse the theoretical concepts and models having the relevance to the
tourism industry and the academics and the key components involved in the study of the
contemporary in the industry of the tourism. Basic understanding of the tourism environment and its
stakeholders at the tourism destination which is Switzerland. There will be explanation about the
concepts of the sustainability of the tourism and the principles for the sustainability in the tourism
industry then there will be a analysis about the role of the stakeholders in the decision making of the
sustainable tourism development. The factors of the macro environment which are contributing to
the sustainable development of Switzerland and there will be the last explanation about the micro
environment and other motivating factors which always influence the demand of the products of the
Switzerland.
MAIN BODY :
The industry of tourism has been set out of different types business organisation which are
specified in providing the facilities of travelling for different purposes as per the requirements of the
travellers and it works in providing every kind of important conveniences to the tourists who all are
involved in this industry. The basic and most important factor behind the promotion of tourism in
different countries is to spread opportunities for having and exchanging different types of culture
and values among each other all over the world(AltinayTaheri2018). The growth of sustainable
development has been seen in the industry of tourism which has been working towards meeting the
demands and expectations of every tourists and consider the safety and security of the travellers and
the natural environment of the country as well. There have been several reasons because of which
the necessity of the sustainable tourism is one of the vital aspect for enhancing the economical and
ecological conditions of the country and increasing the profitability of the regions. There are
different principles which have been developed for this concept for having the effectiveness by
giving the opportunities for limiting the over usage of the natural resources and having the
safeguard from the generation which will be coming in the future as well which will have the
impact on the tourists by having the enhancement of the values of the socio culture environment of
that particular tourist location and that results as having the industries to run for a longer period of
time. Many countries can save its natural resources and different life forms just by applying these
methods of the fundamental of the sustainability. The principle of tourism impose the idea of
evaluating the infrastructures in the various places of the infrastructure in the form of restaurants

and cafes etc. which determine the sustainability for the tourists and the industry of Swiss tourism
can take help from the authorities of the government or either start a program through it gets easy
for them to inform the tourists about the importance of the sustainable of tourism development in
the country. The industry of tourism has been effected badly by the pandemic and for recovering
from that situation it is very important to follow the guidelines about the safety and security of the
travellers from the disease and many countries have restricted the travelling of the tourists after the
pandemic of COVID 19 and imposed a lockdown in various countries which resulted as effecting
the free movement of the people and that affected the functioning of the tourism
directly(Sharpley2020).
Stakeholders are the people who have the control over the major impact in the activities of
the industry of tourism which could be either directly or indirectly. As they have different functions
in the industry the contribution of the stakeholders is essentially important for the achievement of
the effectiveness of the industry of tourism. The decisions of selecting the destination of the travel
always depends on the local people living on that destinations as it is important for looking forward
with the behaviour of those local people living in that region as people would be analysing this and
this could effect the daily life of the people living in that local resident and having the check along
with taking care of that community is important for every country(Streimikiene el. at.2021).
Government of different countries regulate the different frame works which is required to be
followed by the people for the betterment of the tourism industry and they are a developed for the
protecting the heritage of the country from any kind of destruction which could take place in the
future. For avoiding any accidental incident local governments builds many infrastructure like
roads , bridges and places of work and maintain the buildings of these infrastructure to attract the
tourism industry by enhancing the facilities of transportation travel agencies , food and holiday
packages for the better travel accommodations for the travellers and these travel agencies helps in
the successful growth of the tourism industry which contribute in the industry of the tourism. The
supreme stakeholders is the tourism in the travel industry as it contributes to the generation of
wealth and development of the economical condition of the country and it will be beneficial for the
country as it's going to boost up the reputation of that particular tourist place if the tourist will get
the extraordinary experience during the time of the travel. Social media can play a vital role in
promoting the tourist place by offering various advantages of the travel through the advertisement
which will attract the tourist. The initiatives by the travel agencies plays a vitals role as well by
hiring the tourist employee's and supporting the tourism of the country. It is very important for the
country for considering all the rules which have been implemented by the government of the
country for a smooth workflow in the country and Swiss tourism must satisfy all the discussed

tourism very costly by implementing the high taxes. Swiss tourism industry also ensure about the
employment and boost the standard of living of the people providing them the opportunity for
earning for their livelihood though having the enhancement in the price of the goods and services
effects the power of purchasing of the local resident because of the growth of the tourist in
Switzerland. Tourism surely attracts the evaluation in the diversity between the people in the society
and enhance the chance of becoming more respectful towards the different cultures of the world and
boost the vendors and producer of the local market to present the product in a more innovative and
unique way , while on the other hand it could also disrupt the peace between the locals producers
that could lead to the conflicts with the tourists because of the overnumbered tourists in any specific
region of the country. Technologies plays a vital role in the tourism industry by simplifying the
activities of the tourism and identifying the location which is beneficial for the industry as they
could reduce the cost of the workers but on the other aspect it could lead to the unemployment as
the workers would get replaced by the technologies(Khokhobaia2018). There are several laws and
rules that have been implemented by the government and those rules and regulations impact the
tourism travel as it protects that tourist place from getting damage by the tourist and the legislative
bodies of the country protects the heritage by imposing fine and penalties , though it also put
limitations to the place of area which could limits the diversity of the development of the tourism
industry of Switzerland as it reduces the tourists place of the country. There are several other
reasons apart from these which the tourism industry should consider despite being any country of
the world though these are some major points mentioned above for considering while having the
decision about the exchangeability in the politics of the industry of the
tourism(AmertaSaraBagiada2018).
The natural beauty of the Switzerland contributes in the development of the tourism industry
of the country. The major thing which force the tourists to travel there is the mountains , lakes and
beautiful villages which spot the attention of the tourists to visit there. It is one of the perfect place
for the vacation which makes the tourists experience new cultures and values of the different

impression of the people through its beauty though one of the major negative point about the
industry of the Swiss tourism is that it has been not been creative enough with regard to there
infrastructure and it only depends on the natural atmosphere of the surroundings so the people who
wish to have the experience of the luxurious hotel or great infrastructure then Switzerland is not the
place for them as it is one of the most rarest natural beauty in the world. There could be another
threat for the tourists for having the natural calamities like rockfall , floods or landslides which
could affect the tourism of the country(WattanacharoensilStettler2019). So , solving these major
problems and working on infrastructure of the country could help the travel industry in the
Switzerland and this can boost up the hospitality sector of the country. There are other motivational
factors in the field of travel industry who are able to make people travel to the different places of
the country. Income of the people also determines the various factors of the travel industry and there
are several people in the different parts of the country who wants to travel in different region of the
world and explore new places for getting the new experiences of the culture and values in the
different parts of the world which helps in boosting up the economical conditions of the travel
industry and these factors are related to the community and the people of that particular tourist
destination which would be abke to attract the people in their country(Richards Morrill,2020).

As per this report it has been concluded that tourism industry plays an vital role in the
development and growth and socio economical culture of the country. Every citizen should
contribute in supporting the tourism as it enhance the development of the economy of the country.
Switzerland would be able to attract more people and save the natural surroundings through
building up the necessary plan and that would lead the country towards the lead in the economy and
it is essential for every tourist or business firms to follow up the rules and regulations imposed by
the country in terms of law for avoiding the interruption in the tourism. Swiss tourism industry
should concentrate on saving the natural environment of the country for attracting more tourist in
their country and after the pandemic it has been the necessity of the people for expecting to have the
safe environment for themselves and every tourist and by meeting the requirements of the tourists
could boost and evaluate every structured tourism industry from monuments to the industry of
hotels and to the local vendor of the country which not only help them evaluating their business but
it helps in boosting up the economical condition of the country.
