adverse affects, mainly related to environment, the economy as well as communities,
safeguarding the atmosphere, natural resources and wildlife. Additionally, there are various
stronger advantages to be obtained from involving to sustainable tourism, the three key umbrella
aspects being: assisting the developing environment, their economical benefits for destinations
and facilitating support to local communities. For this, the chosen company is World tourism
organisation is the United Nations specialised agency which is entrusted to promote responsible
and sustainable tourism. The organisation is headquartered in Madrid, Spain and in the current
time World Tourism Organisation is one of the leading organisation involved in promotion of
tourism as driver of economic growth and environmental sustainability. The main aim of this
report is to determine the strategies that could be considered by tourism industry of the UK to
ensure future sustainability.

World tourism organisation is the United Nations specialised agency which is entrusted to
promote responsible and sustainable tourism. The organisation is headquartered in Madrid, Spain
and in the current time World Tourism Organisation is one of the leading organisation involved
in promotion of tourism as driver of economic growth and environmental sustainability as well.
The organisation was founded in the year of 1975 and from that time they are continuously
engaged in implementation of global code of ethics within tourism so that competitiveness and
digital transformation can easily be added in the industry. The major agenda of the organisation
is to advocate value of tourism so that driver of socio-economic growth can be included within
the industry of tourism in priority manner. On the other hand, the organisation is associated with
promoting sustainable tourism development so that the industry can grow with several reasons

contribution over poverty and economic development. The outbreak of COVID-19 has impacted
the industry of tourism in devastated manner in which World Tourism Organisation is trying to
