Chemical field is one of the fascinating fields of all the branches of science and engineering.
Physics, Math’s and chemistry are known as challenging subject that tests the depth of
knowledge and understanding of an individual who considers them. I have a great interest in
questions such as "How do you convert raw materials into useful products through the
application of chemistry on a large scale, or more accurately, how to create and operate
facilities relating to the manufacture of commodities essential for modern everyday life, in a
safe efficient and environmentally friendly manner?" Questions such as these were triggered at
a younger age by issues such as the origins of plastics, and how they are extracted, and
produced.
Studying math’s mechanics is helping me develop my numeric skills, which I believe combined
with chemistry, will help me greatly with Chemical Engineering. My studies of economics,
combined with my subscription to the FT through the school library, have helped me to keep up
to date with current affairs. This includes recent events in the petrochemical industry. My keen
interest is in solving the mathematical problem in a logical manner and also developed my
understanding related to the value of persistence to reach solutions.
I want to complete my studies in chemical engineering because it is a very important specialty
and is closely linked to my work which makes me able to develop appropriate solutions to the
problems we face in our work. I got a diploma in the same discipline and I did well and got an
excellent rating with honors because of my diligence and passion in this field, which makes me
happy to complete the studies.
The chance to design the learning of a chemical reaction is one of the main reason for
choosing this subject. Along with this, I also identified various reasons to enjoy this particular
course. First of all, the in chemical engineering problem-solving elements lead my main
attraction behind selecting the subject. While working at the petroleum industry I used to solve
most of the problems with the use of basic properties of fluids, as because the engineer can
design one of the effective and low-cost solutions for different types of problem. One of the
other driving factor for my yearning to do this subject is the designing of the element. My
interest is in the way components steps of a chemical process where I need to assemble
together a reactant mixture to heat exchange to waste disposal. Apart from this, I am a highly
self-motivated as because of my excellent time management skills which assist me in balancing
my strong academic performance with a variety of extra circular activities.
I have experience in the gas industry for nearly 13 years, during which I got TAFEWA certificate
in PROCESS PLANT OPERATION from Challenger Institute of Technology, Australia. I also have a
diploma in chemical engineering with the high score of GPA: 4.0. because of my excellence
grade in college, I have got the Medal of Academic Excellence. l hope that my academic and
practical history will help to accept my application for admission in the Chemical Engineering
program at Swansea University "Second Year".
Chemical engineering would enable me to make the best use of the skills which I have
developed while carrying out my A level studies.
